Nüma coffee & kitchen — Restaurant in Maghreb

Went to Nüma for a chill hangout with some friends, and it turned out to be a great choice. As soon as we arrived, we were able to find a clean, cozy spot without any wait. Our server came quickly, and we went ahead and ordered brunch along with some drinks.

We got the Egg Benny Pastrami, the Egg Salmon Benny, and the Pulled Chicken Burrito, paired with mango ice tea, a Spanish latte, and a hazelnut affogato. The food came out well-presented and packed with flavor. I’m usually not the biggest fan of salmon, but I actually enjoyed the Egg Salmon Benny; it had just the right balance of flavors.

The affogato was also so good, the ice cream in it was full of flavor.

The staff were super sweet and helpful, always checking in if we looked confused or needed something, which I really appreciated as someone who’s more introverted.

I’d give Nüma five stars, but the music was just a bit too loud and overwhelming. The lighting inside was also a bit much, especially with the natural light coming in, it felt a little intense. So for that, I’d have to go with 4 stars instead of 5. Still a great spot overall though!

All in all, the place had amazing vibes, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and delicious food. Would definitely go again!

I have never left a bad review, but this experience genuinely deserves it.

We first came to the restaurant around 1:00 PM and tried to order burgers, only to be told they’re only available after 3:00 PM because brunch is served until then. So we went home. A few days later, we came back at 3 pm to try again. This time, we were told burgers wouldn’t be available until 4:00 PM because the kitchen needed time to reset and there was a staff shift change. We decided to wait, and we made it very clear to the server that we wanted to be served as soon as the kitchen opened. He assured us it would be no problem. When 4:00 PM came around, we were told by another server that burgers wouldn’t be served until 5:00 PM because of some issues with the machines in the kitchen and because the chefs showed up late. To be fair they apologised however at no point during the hour we waited did anyone bother to inform us of these delays. We felt completely misled and honestly, disrespected. I don’t know if the issue was with the servers, the kitchen staff, or just really poor management, but either way it was a total waste of our time. We left feeling frustrated, and like we’d been taken for a joke. I hope these kind of mistakes never happen to any other clients because i wouldn’t wish this on anyone. The food was beautifully presented, though taste-wise I’d rate it 7/10. Unfortunately, the service was a huge letdown.

We placed our order at 13:40, and only at 14:15 did the waiter return to inform us they had run out of avocado. He offered to bring the menu again but never actually came back with it. No napkins were served either.

My friend ordered waffles — the waiter acknowledged the order but said he’d check if they still had them. He never followed up. We assumed everything was fine, but while the rest of us were served, she waited until 14:40, never received her food, and left hungry and upset. Honestly, that was really embarrassing.

I came here expecting a great meal, not a string of delays and bad news. The service felt disorganized and careless.

On top of that, the ambiance was extremely loud, and the tables were so close together I could hear every conversation around us.
