We recently tried Pasta gram in Sousse, and honestly, walking in, we had high hopes. The vibe was friendly the server was super welcoming and kind, and the menu was impressive, with tons of options to build your own pasta, which is perfect if you’re a picky eater. The portions were huge (literally felt like two servings in one), and the shrimp pasta I ordered came loaded with shrimp definitely worth the money in that sense. My sister went for the bolognese, and everything looked fresh and promising.
But here’s the thing: the flavors just didn’t deliver. The pastas (mine and my sister’s) were surprisingly bland. Like, you could tell the ingredients were good and fresh, but the seasoning was almost non existent. We kept waiting for that “wow” moment, and it never really came. Honestly, it made me think about how places like Miami’s (where pasta isn’t even their specialty) manage to nail pasta flavors so much better.
Atmosphere wise, it’s nice, but there’s room for improvement. The music was way too loud for a place where you wanna relax and enjoy your meal, and the lighting was a little harsh and bright. Some softer lights and a more chill playlist would honestly transform the whole vibe. Also, I really liked their table setup it was super cute, and it was giving Japanese vibes, lol.
Overall, Pasta gram has a great concept, friendly service, and generous portions, but they seriously need to step up...
Read moreThis is a discovery for me. If you love Pasta and you want a customised experience with a lot of flavours, then this is the right address. You can compose a lot of combinations for your plate. We had smoked chiken spaghetti with a full portion of mushrooms, Ravioli with beef and Parmesan cheese. Service is excellent, ready in few minutes and you can watch the chef. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Will check if all is good. The place is very clean for families and babies. You can sit in and enjoy the place and music. Another good restaurant in Sousse is worth the experience. Would come...
Read moreMy family tried Pastagram for the first time today. We ordered 4 different dishes and paid around 15 tnd per plate.
The good: Unique design your own pasta concept with many options Fresh ingredients and good portion sizes Clean restaurant Friendly staff
Not so good: We weren't impressed with the final result in our bowls. The pasta was literally swimming in the sauce--it was almost like soup. The pesto sauce was okay but the rose sauce just wasn't good. The main thing I could taste in it was black pepper.
It's a good concept, but hopefully they can improve...
