0 Star – Absolutely Terrible Experience, Avoid This Place!

I had one of the worst experiences ever at this nightclub in Sousse. From the very beginning, the staff – especially the security – were unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional.

At the entrance, they demanded a 20 dinar bribe per person, even though entry was supposed to be free. When we asked for official tickets or receipts, they flat-out refused and told us to “just hand over the cash.” We decided not to enter out of principle, and only then did they suddenly say, “Okay, you can go in for free.”

Once inside, we were trying to enjoy ourselves and have fun, but the same staff kept coming to our table, talking to us with rude tones and even telling us not to stand up near our own table — as if we were doing something wrong just by dancing and having fun. When we asked to speak to the manager, they got visibly nervous but nothing changed.

Later, one of the security guys came back, clearly angry for no reason, and even bumped into me on purpose while I was dancing. He then told us, “When you leave, give us a tip.” We replied that we’d be paying by card, and right after that, the waiters conveniently added extra money to the bill. We refused to be scammed and paid only for what we actually consumed.

The chief of staff we spoke to was polite, but it was obvious that he had no authority — the security staff act like they own the place.

Overall, this place is a disgrace to hospitality. The way they treat guests is shameful. It’s corrupt, chaotic, and completely unprofessional. What should’ve been a fun night turned into a stressful, humiliating experience.

There are so many better clubs in Sousse — don’t waste your time or money here. Go somewhere that actually respects...

I visited The Saloon recently and had an extremely disappointing experience. From the moment my friends and I entered, it was clear we were being treated differently, possibly because of our nationality. Despite other patrons being served promptly, we were informed that we could only purchase large bottles of spirits, forcing us to choose from a limited selection without a menu.

When we finally managed to order a bottle of vodka with minimal mixers, we were shocked to hear wildly varying prices from different staff members—first 600 Dinars, then 500 Dinars, and finally settling at 400 Dinars after seeing a conflicting menu that listed the same drink for 380 Dinars. The confusion over pricing and the lack of transparency left us feeling cheated and unwelcome.

To make matters worse, we were informed we were actually in "U bar" and not The Saloon, despite both places seeming identical. This led to further confusion and a sense of being unfairly treated. When we expressed our desire to leave upon discovering the price discrepancies, we were told we had to pay for the open bottle, further compounding our frustration.

Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The staff seemed disinterested in resolving our issues and instead insisted on charging us more than what was advertised. This type of treatment is unacceptable, and needless to say, we will not be returning to The Saloon or any associated establishments...

The staff seemed more interested in making us feel uncomfortable than providing any semblance of hospitality.

As if the poor welcome wasn’t enough, we were essentially told we would have to be ripped off. The prices were outrageous, and we were told we was being charged simply for being three men trying to enter. The security personnel were particularly unfriendly, which only added to the overall unpleasant vibe of the place.

If you’re looking for a fun night out, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The Saloon is not the place to be, especially if you value a welcoming and respectful environment. Save your time and money and avoid this establishment! Avoid The Saloon in Sousse...
