CULT bistro — Restaurant in Tunis

Really disappointed with the food, service and facility ...

Facility: The building's entrance and elevator were filthy dirty and there was no sense of welcoming whatsoever at the reception once we made upstairs, you feel like you're intruding in an awkward place, with staff plainly staring at you ... Once inside, the walls and ceiling look unfinished on some spots and the toilet's door lock was even broken ...

Service: The waiter did not know the english translations of the steak cooking levels (they just know French) and barely walked us through any of the food ... The menu had stains on it and the whole vibe was kind of off ...

Food: This was the final blow, we ordered the burger and the filet mignon, burger was saggy and watery with super mediocre meat quantity and the filet mignon was "well done" even though I ordered a "a point" (I figured out the translation). They also had no special drinks whatsoever, no mocktails, we were shocked to hear the list of drinks "fanta, coca, water, ..).

This negative review is coming from a good place, we wish we could find a place in Tunisia where a fellow Tunisian shines. We want Slim Douiri to push himself a bit further and keep this place in order. Best wishes but for now, definitely not...

From the moment you walk in, Cult by Slim Douiri impresses on every level. The location and decoration are simply splendid — offering a breathtaking panoramic view over La Marsa and Gammarth. It’s the perfect blend of elegance, ambiance, and sophistication.

The hospitality is top-notch. The entire team is warm and welcoming, with a special mention to Hamza, who truly goes above and beyond. He pays attention to the smallest details, treats every guest with genuine care, and his food recommendations were absolutely on point.

As for the food — without exaggeration, it was the tastiest I’ve had in Tunisia so far. Every dish was refined, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

👏 Bravo to the entire team! This place feels like a 7-star experience, and I can’t wait to go back again (and again).

Horrible experience!Second time i try it and its the last time!Super disappointed went today! It all started with going up on the stairs, and i find 3 of the chefs sitting on the stairs smoking cigarettes! Which is disgusting!!! One of them went straight to the kitchen without washing his hands! Second the quality of food and taste has dropped 90% at least! There were 3 tables for lunch the service was extremely slow we probably waited 20mins + the guy taking the order was lost literally after taking our order he came back to me 5 mins later told me that we only have one portion of Tuna bao luckily because it was bad!! They brought the salads and the hot appetizer together! Mains were average not as bad as the Tuna Bao and the salads which i genuinely think its a below average restaurant now! Its shocking because the 1st time we went there it was a good quality and service! Businesses will not last with...
