Le phenix de Carthage — Restaurant in Tunis

Tasteless dry chicken, even drier couscous, underdone cabbage; food possibly cooked by an 8 year old. The eatery is supplied from the tour buses a captive audience who they abuse by serving sub-standard lunches. Waiter appears firstly with a tray of fruit drinks offered as though inclusive. Beware ALL drinks are costly at this venue! This is a one-off experience of being blatantly ripped off by a restaurant in Tunisia. Shame on them. Tour operators please take note - this is my only criticism of fabulous and great...

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. A band called khnefes was advertised to play on their facebook page but there was no band present, just a DJ who ended EARLY. We received terrible customer service from the waiters. They were bringing us items we didn't order and arguing with us . We will never be back. Very sad. This used to be a fun place to spend your time and money but never again. There are many places in Marsa that are a better experience...

Would've been a nice venue but unfortunately the waiter often tries to overcharge and take extra money. That includes putting more drinks than we ordered in the bill.

I would expect the management to rein in on this type of behaviour to make it a suitable place to stay.

Otherwise, there are other bars/restaurants nearby that won't try...
