Goomba's Pizza — Restaurant in Tunis

UPDATE: The place was wonderful when it was not that known to people but it is an absolute mess now.The pizzas we got were ALWAYS burnt and the place became so disorganized and clustered that I just didn't want to come anymore. It's unfortunate when a restaurant becomes well-known and begins to lack in their originally amazing food and service. Unfortunately, this is now my least favorite pizzeria. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Goomba's Pizza has (so far) been my favorite pizza parlor in Tunis. The pizza shop may seem small, but it holds a lot of potential. It's unique red brick building design will stand out to all that pass by. Not only that, but the interior has a cozy and aesthetic feel to it as well as some trendy yet funky music to accompany the uniquely intriguing environment. The restaurant is all Italian inspired and uses ingredients imported from Italy itself. It is best known for their "Half-Foot Long" pizza that will require you to bring more than 2 people if you can stomach such a huge pizza! I recommend going to this pizza parlor in the evenings on weekdays and the early afternoons on weekends. The service of the waiters / waitresses is exceptional; they're all so kind! I truly recommend everyone - couples, families, friends, even solo - to visit this amazingly delicious pizza parlor! ^^^^^ NO LONGER A GOOD PLACE. We stopped by Goombas Pizza Restaurant and ordered a pizza to take away. The service was quick, and the pizza was ready in no time from their wood-burning oven. At first glance, it looked good, but the crust was a disappointment. Instead of being hand-tossed, it’s rolled flat through two bars (almost like a pasta machine), which makes it extremely thin without much rise or texture — more like cardboard than pizza dough. Excellent pizza, excellent service, and very cool atmosphere! I got the Pizza Metre and was very happy with it. Like all of their pizzas, you can customize it with the ingredients you like, which gives the patron a personalized experience! Their menu offers 4 pizzas sizes, as well as a variety of sandwiches and other options! There is seating available both inside as well as outside on the patio. And there is great music to listen to while you eat. Very fun atmosphere here too. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Tunis. 10/10 overall excellent experience...
