The Zink — Restaurant in Tunis

I'm rating this place one star mainly because of the service. It was my first and likely last time here due to the incredibly rude customer service. Both dishes we ordered had hair in them. When we brought it to the server's attention, she informed the manager, who defensively tried to convince us it wasn't a hair. We had to show him it was indeed a long one. He became upset and started yelling at us, insisting his staff always takes proper precautions. Despite this, we asked for the food to be remade, which he did. However, when we paid, he didn't give us our full change back. Despite this, we left a good tip because the server did an excellent job. Here's how the manager could have handled it better:

Avoid arguing with customers, especially regarding food quality concerns.

Comfort the customer and assure them their concern will be addressed promptly.

Never overcharge a customer; it's not acceptable.

We enjoyed the food- but we did not appreciate that the male staff (manager I think?) decided to spray (green) insect spray inside the dining area while we were there eating. Good thing we were half way eating the pasta when he did that. But not sure about the 2 take out burgers that other staff were preparing - near the sprayed area. Please note that this was an enclosed space. We informed the female staff who was gracious enough to acknowledge the feedback.

Food was tasty and filling. Good for sharing. We liked the burger - meaty and juicy. Truffle pasta was great - creamy and tangy. Burrata salad was almost good - burrata exterior was rubbery and was a bit hard to chew on. Maybe they gave us an old one. Which was unfortunate because we liked the other components...

After so much time in Tunis I have tried so many options of western food because I dont find Tunisian food tasty at all except for some baguette farci and shawarma .. Checked here for reviews and seen that its rated pretty highish and. Unfortunately quality doesn't match the ratings or the prices as they range from 5-9€ for burgers. I had Tornado burger and my girlfriend had a Berlusconi one, she left it at half where I finished both because I was really hungry. There are so many ingredients in burger that are not in good combination to each others.
