Food was average and it is allowed to smoke in the restaurant... First of all the atmosphere, the decoration is nice, but the fact they smoke inside is really unhealthy and making it difficult to enjoy any food when it smells so bad... One of the waiter was also stinky of fresh cigarette... Except that the service was good in general. The food, no, wasn't bad either, but it really lacked flavour. Both me and my colleague weren't impressed. Starter, I had the Harira soup which had a very mild taste of legumes but we couldn't feel the lamb at all. My colleague had a salad of sea products that was too spicy to really enjoy the seafood. We both had couscous (two different ones though) as a main, and as we both travelled extensively in North Africa, we were not impressed by the local couscous... It is not bad not displeasant, but really lacks taste in general, the meat wasn't juicy and the whole really lacked flavours. Dessert was also not amazing, we both didn't feel the need to finish our desserts. Again wasn't bad in itself, but not great either, just average. The price though is not average, so next time in Tunis, I will catch a Taxi and get food further away.

This is a restaurant that is inside Sheraton hotel Tunis. It specializes in tunisian food. From past experience the food served in the restaurant is essentially the same as the one you get in the hotels room service. So you have a choice for the sitting of your meal. They make very decent couscous with meat. They also make great “brika” which is tunisian triangular shaped fried parcel that can be filled with meat, tuna or shrimps along with an egg. My favourite is with tuna and runny egg; great in taste but it gets very messy. They have a nice selection of tunisian salads. In this visit we tried the seafood salad which was good too. The bad items in this visit were the mixed grill plate which was just bad. The chicken turned into cardboard from too much grilling. The “Jarra” which is a sealed vase filled with meat and vegetables was not tasty at all. There was live music being played by someone. Strangely he quit midplay and left. All in all this restaurant serves decent tunisian food. In my experience some were top notch and some were not.

We don’t have good memories of the restaurant Walima. The meat was dry. The fries were okay. The mezze were not good. The shrimps were the only good part. However, the service from Fahmi was excellent! He was friendly, kind, polite, and handled feedback very well. Overall, I don’t think this restaurant represents the Sheraton Hotel’s signature quality. Pong was much better in comparison!
