Kumsal Lokantası — Restaurant in Çankaya

Despite the fact that Kumsal is an old, well known establishment & still pretty popular, i must say it is barely a 2 star restaurant. The olive oil dishes are a disaster, seafood appetizers, such as lakerda, shrimp, calamari taste below aveeage. And the grilled levrek was also not the best i had. Service is average as well. If i compare Kumsal, Trilye & Sur restaurants, definitely Sur is on the top, Trilye is kind of fancy & over priced but at least food tastes better so comes 2nd in my list, Kumsal has better prices but i would rather pay a little more but eat decent food. Went here on a Saturday and it was packed. Reservations is a must here. Despite being so crowded service was really good and the staff was friendly too. Appetizers were ok but the fish was very fresh. No frozen calamari here. Everything is fresh and brought daily due to the popularity of the place. There is no parking but they have valet service.
