Avrasya Lokantası — Restaurant in Çeşme

The best restaurant experience that we’ve had in Turkiye so far. It is a very nice & clean restaurant. It is unlike another lokanta we’ve been to where food are premade. Here, there are lots of premade side dishes but they grilled the meat on the charcoal when you order it which is better especially for kebab.

The manager walked us through the dishes and told us what is in it. The waiters are happy and very attentive. Everything is very flavorful, unlike a lot of other touristy restaurants we’ve been in Fethiye and Cappadocia. The bulgur is so yummy. It was my first time trying it and I’m a fan. I am an Asian who loves rice but I feel like I can have bulgur instead of rice for some time lol. We were lucky to get a spot in front of the grill station and it was a fun experience seeing them grilling. They really know what they are doing. The meat came out just right! We went here twice during our short stay in Alacati and the food was excellent both times. We’ve always enjoyed eating Turkish food at home in London so we had been looking forward to the food in Alacati and found the old town somewhat lacking. So we were delighted to find this restaurant where we had a mix of veg meze and the grilled meat, which we chose from their counter. All the food was fantastic. This is a Turkish 'Home Cooking' Restaurant. Walk in, grab a table and sit down. A waiter will bring you your placemat, cutlery and water. Now walk up to the food bar an tell the guys what you want. They'll load up your plate with whatever you want. Head back to your table and they'll bring your order to you. Pretty simple once you get the concept. The food is tasty and well prepared.
