From the perspective of an Indian family resident in the UK travelling to Istanbul, Turkiye:

Summary:

If you are a visitor and don't speak the language, best avoided. No one - literally no one, spoke English.

Waiters keep on bringing their own food to the table with little regard for what you want to order.

Service is slow. We asked for options without beef (putting aside the linguistic difficulties), we kept on being offered other variants of beef.

Food was very good and the ambience is very nice but the service just doesn't make up for it.

I asked for wifi - our waiter, who then asked another two all ignored our requests. We could see them literally shrugging their heads to ignore our request. How rude.

I received amazing Turkish hospitality at many other places but this place just seems to want cater to a particular local clientele. Fair enough - their restaurant, their choice but if you are visiting, better avoided.

Lastly, given the otherwise horrendous service - there was service charge at 10 pc on the bill whereas our waiter prevaricated and said there was no service charge. We left a tip of course but money down the...

We visited this place due to the quality of the food but it was too late to realize that it was a mistake. The waiter presented the check and we were surprised to pay 10 Turkish liras per person as an extra. After that, we paid the check and realized that waiter was still standing in front of our table. We knew that it was for extra money (tip) but the 10 TRY per person was huge amount that they had dictated to pay so we did not pay any tip. (You do not have to pay tip in Turkey, it is 99% of the places not asked)

The waiter’s behaviour became rude afterwards, very rude. We forgot the food quality because this rude behaviour overshadowed the food and we do not recommend this kind of places if they keep being...

Son bir hafta icerisinde 2 kez ziyaretimiz oldu. Ilki 8 kisilik is yemegi icindi. 6-7 cesit meze sadece 2 porsiyon ana yemek 3 sise sarap ve 1 sise raki icin 22 bin TL hesap odedik. Market fiyati 250 300 TL olan sarabin X10-11 fiyatına servis edilmesi bizlere bir hayli ilginc geldi. Rakidaki gibi X2 X3 beklemiyoruz da bari X4 X5 yapin da 3000 TL sisesine yazmayin be vicdansizlar. O gece neredeyse ana yemeksiz olan 22bin TL lik hesabimizi sikayetsiz kuzu kuzu odedik. Bir daha ugramayi dusunmesek de yedigimiz kaziga ragmen sevdigimiz arkadaslarimizin hatrina haftasonu bir sans daha verelim dedik. Bu sefer de 5 kisi 1 sise raki icip 2 ana yemek ve 5 6 cesit meze ile 11 bin TL hesap ile kalktik. Yagli kara olarak servis edilen sey komur kivaminda yanmisti. Yağları zaten komur olarak kaldi tabakta adi gibi kara olan etlerini yiyebildik. Aksam boyu servis alabilmek için el kol hareketlerimizle bir hayli egzersiz de yapma firsati bulduk. Tum bunlari ve gelisine ne denk gelirse tadında uyguladiginiz fiyatlamanizi hadi bir sekilde anlayamasak da anlamaya calisiyoruz ama mutfak kapandi ayagina misafirinize 1 porsiyon meyve ikram etmemek nedir? Bu kadar mi maliyetli 1 porsiyon meyve ikrami? Mutfak kapandiginda sicak servisi olmaz dense yine anlariz da meyve servisi yapamiyoruz kismi son derece amatorce ve komik. Iceride olan masa sayisi belli. Madem mutfak kapandi o ikramlari onceden hazirlayip kenara da mi koyamiyorsunuz? Saat 1-2 olsa yine anlariz da bunu cumartesi 23.50 de musterinize soylemezsiniz be arkadas. Gercekten bizim adimiza nerden tutsan elinden kalir tadında 2 ayri tecrube oldu. Bu saatte oturup usenmeden bu mesajın yazilmasinin tek sebebi 2 ziyaretimizde farkli konularda da olsa kendimizi maalesef keriz yerine konulmus gibi hissetmemiz ve yasattiginiz hayal kirikligini anlatabilmek icindi. Bu kadar anlamsiz hesap odedigimiz bir mekanda daha kaliteli ve adil fiyatlamali bir servisi hakettigimizi dusunuyoruz. Bu cizgide devam ettiginiz takdirde sadece bizi degil uzun vadede bir cok musterinizi kaybedeceginizi de bilmenizi isteriz....
