Lucca — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

Absolutely horrible experience. My friend and I booked for 8.30 pm, we arrive on time and the host at the entrance looked at us up and down as if we were aliens, not welcoming at all. He couldnt our booking even though it was confirmed on whatsapp and asked to wait at the bar. No one came to even offer drinks. We then managed to ger a table for two on the terrace, service awful the table was dirty. Neither of us drink alcohol, when we told this to the waiter, it was as if they just wanted us gone. We got our starter, didn’t even finish it that they served us the main course. We both chose seabass and risotto which did not sit well at all in our stomach, fish was definitely not fresh. At this point we got the bill and left, they were almost happy to see us go. Disgusting experience, will never go back, do not bother! We made a reservation after having hard time to contact them at 22:00. We reached on time but they had made a mistake and told us that they thought we would come one hour earlier so the only available table would be just for one hour. To keep noted , I had everything written regarding our reservation and we were right. We agreed to eat as fast as possible in one hour time and then we would be moved by them to the staff. Not only they almost they kicked us out of our table when we payed the bill , but they never took care of us to keep some space at the bar. The girl at the front desk was very rude , she was almost yelling at us with no reason we were very polite . So we left immediately. Such a bad vibe ! Unfortunately, my experience at Luuca restaurant was extremely disappointing due to the behavior of one of the staff members. I was treated with clear discrimination and disrespect. When I asked her how to reserve a table, she first told me that I couldn’t make a reservation because I don’t have a Turkish phone number — which is absolutely untrue. When I pointed out that the restaurant is in a tourist area and it’s unreasonable to expect all guests to be Turkish, she coldly replied, “I can’t do anything for you,” and then changed her story, saying that all reservations were already full. Surprisingly, just an hour later, I was able to make a reservation online for 2:30 PM — plenty of slots were actually available. I was really upset by the way I was treated, and I chose not to return to the restaurant. Instead, I went to another one, where I was warmly welcomed and treated with full respect. I hope the management takes action and ensures their staff treats non-Turkish guests with equal respect.

Ne yazık ki, Luuca restoranındaki deneyimim, çalışanlardan birinin davranışları nedeniyle son derece hayal kırıklığı yarattı. Açıkça ayrımcılığa ve saygısızlığa maruz kaldım. Bir masa nasıl rezerve edilir diye sorduğumda, çalışan ilk olarak bana Türk telefon numaram olmadığı için rezervasyon yapamayacağımı söyledi — bu kesinlikle doğru değil. Restoranın turistik bir bölgede olduğunu ve tüm müşterilerin Türk olmasının mantıksız olduğunu söylediğimde ise soğuk bir şekilde “Sana yardımcı olamam” dedi, sonra fikrini değiştirip tüm rezervasyonların dolu olduğunu söyledi. Ama olaydan sadece bir saat sonra, internet sitesinden saat 14:30 için kolayca rezervasyon yapabildim ve birçok boş zaman olduğunu gördüm. Bu muameleden gerçekten çok rahatsız oldum ve restorana geri dönmedim. Bunun yerine başka bir restorana gittim ve orada sıcak bir şekilde karşılandım, saygı gördüm.
