Well where do we begin!!!! This is a karaoke bar masquerading as a restaurant, the food is at best a 2 out of ten, ‘the balloon’ being the best course and that is free. Ironic really! Ordered 2 Long Island ice Tea’s which were bought in a child’s long glass with literally no alcohol and a load of ice. I refused to pay for both and made the guy try it. So now I’m thinking oh dear Lord the food is going to be terrible and I was right on the money. T-bone 🥩 poor, sea bass frozen not fresh with a ‘dry’ salad and mine well I’ve eaten better at the age of 19 on the way home from clubbing. Horrendous….lets get into the errrrm entertainment which starts at 10pm let’s just say do not go here if you have any child with any autistic issues or anyone who has any hearing issues as you will not be able to hear or speak whilst this is happening. It’s a common eatery with low class food and drinks. I strongly suggest if you’ve an ounce of intelligence to avoid this place like the plague. Bloody awful and to boot over priced. Paid but my God it went totally against the grain. We had a 4 year old with us and he ran away holding his ears it was so loud we ended up sitting outside! Horrible experience and will not ever step foot inside...
Read moreFrom start to finish Ergin and his team made us feel like we were number 1. Picked us up in 2 cars from our hotel and took us to the resteraunt. After a great welcome from Ergin we were sat at our table and drinks were brought within minutes. Once settled with our drinks meals were chosen and as we were waiting for the mains they brought us some turkish puffed bread with dips which was very good, was pleased when Ergin insisted we should have some more on the house. Main arrived fillet steak which was out of this world, seriously the best steak I've ever had and for the price I couldn't complain at all. Desert was chocolate souffle which was again amazing. After we had all had our fill and paid we asked Ergin whether we could have a stroll round town before they drove us back which he insisted we did. After a couple of hours of shopping and browsing we went back to the resteraunt and they took us right back to our hotel door. Seriously impressed with the level of service they put in for each and every guest they have and I would come back to Turkey just to visit...
Read moreWe visited Topkapi the Beach Restaurant tonight. We took a taxi from the hotel as we had two young children plus a pushchair. A Dolmus outside would have been a great alternative and only 50tl each. This cost us 1000tl (Approx £22)
Upon arrival we were met at the taxi by Topkapi staff that were rung in advance by the taxi and took past a few shops and onto the beach front. The guide is sent to take us directly to the restaurant, avoiding any other restaurants on the way.
We were greeted by the owner who touted us at the hotel. He was welcoming and so were his staff. The drinks were great and I'd compare them to your standard chain pub back at home. We then ordered the sharer for two and two kids meals.
We received the complimentary pillow bread and dips. This was enjoyed by us all and then the kids order, Fish and Chips plus Chicken Breast and Chips. Our only issue was the fish. Kids menu I'd serve boneless fish goujons. Nice flakey fish but bones galore and my eldest...
