Gurme Kokoreç — Restaurant in Fatih

This is easily one of the best random finds I've ever made. Whoever have the one star rating is smoking crack. This tiny place is a great, with two inside tables (and a few more outside) and a simple kitchen on the ground floor of Abdullah's house. He doesn't speak English but he does speak German and between that and Google Translate he told me all about three neighborhood's history back to Byzantine times while I ate his amazing tripe soup and kokorec sandwich (as a kid I made both those dishes with my Greek grandfather... His food is great). If you are okay with offal and with old school (I'm assuming this is authentic old school for Istanbul because it's very much like authentic old school Greece) it doesn't get any better than this. With whole my heart ❤️ I adore this place and workers in. I felt the local communities with having really nice conversations with staff. Really impressed with the service they provide indeed.

We talked all about each other and in more the man by Name Abdul made the best Kokoreç Ive tried in front of us.

Çok salaş bir mekân. Ancak kokoreci oldukça iyi. Usta yaşlıca bir beyefendi, aynı zamanda mekanın sahibi. Turistler geliyor, onlarla İngilizce iletişim kuruyor. Tam bir İstanbul beyefendisi.
