A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of dining at an extraordinary restaurant that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. I cannot emphasize enough how highly I recommend this place. The breakfast I savored there was simply delightful, and the mere thought of it still brings immense joy to my senses. Beyond the delectable cuisine, the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant are utterly captivating. Even if you're only stopping by for a glass of wine, this establishment is the perfect destination.

The staff at this restaurant deserves special mention for their remarkable service. Mr. Batuhan, in particular, took care of us throughout our visit, and his attention and friendliness were truly outstanding. Comparing his service to that of other places would be unfair, as it was truly unparalleled. I wholeheartedly urge you to experience this restaurant for yourself, whether with friends, family, or even if you choose to dine alone. It is undoubtedly an experience that is well worth it.

If you’re in Kayaköy, you have to start your morning at Kahvaltıcı Mahmut. It’s one of those breakfasts that just makes you happy—tables full of homemade jams, fresh bazlama bread that’s still warm from the pan, eggs with sucuk, fries, olives, and more little dishes than you can count. The best part? They keep refilling everything, and the owner is so friendly you feel like you’re eating at a friend’s house. It’s relaxed, tasty, and the perfect way to ease into the day.

Then, for the evening, Lebessos Wine House is pure magic. It’s set in this gorgeous old stone building with a cozy, romantic vibe, and you can actually go down into their wine cellar to pick a bottle. The food is fresh and full of flavor—think homemade breads, local cheeses, perfectly cooked mains, and dreamy desserts. The staff are warm and welcoming - Durukan and Batuhan were really welcoming and helpful. Sitting there with a glass of wine as the sun goes down over Kayaköy… it’s just one of those “I can’t believe I’m here” moments.

Kayaköy has a lot of charm, but this spot?! They’re the kind of places that make you want to come back...

We had dinner twice here because everything was perfection. The food was the most delicious we had during our stay in Turkey, full of flavour and very nice size portions. The service was so lovely and friendly we felt very welcome and looked after, and our daughter was treated like a princess. This restaurant is such a beautiful setting for an evening meal. We would definitely have eaten here again if we were staying longer. Rated 5 stars but would give more if I could. Bonus points for relaxed atmosphere, beautifully decorated and immersed in history surrounded by ruins, and delicious vegetarian options and all the little extra touches and complimentary bread, dips and watermelon.
