English Review Lukka Restaurant at Calis Plaji was quite a disappointment. While the staff was nice and friendly, the portions and prices were outrageous compared to popular and high-class places in Istanbul, let alone Germany. We ordered Sigara Böregi, Cheese and Melon platter, and a Menemen (shakshuka). The Menemen, at 200 TL, was double the price of what you'd pay at a famous breakfast place in Istanbul. It was just okay. The Sigara Böregi consisted of only four small pieces for 130 TL—already a rip-off. But the most shocking part was the melon and cheese plate for 240 TL: one thin piece of feta cheese and two pieces of melon. What a joke! We sent that back, and while they took it back without drama, they claimed it's "just a starter platter, it's normal." No, it is not normal.

These places around the beaches and beach towns in Turkey are exploiting tourists, both local and international. People are fed up. You can see that all the hotels and restaurants are empty. And then they'll complain that business and life are tough. If you continue like this, people definitely won't come back.

German Review Das Lukka Restaurant am Calis Plaji war eine ziemliche Enttäuschung. Zwar war das Personal nett und freundlich, aber die Portionen und Preise waren im Vergleich zu beliebten und erstklassigen Orten in Istanbul, geschweige denn in Deutschland, unverschämt. Wir bestellten Sigara Böregi, Käse- und Melonenplatte und Menemen (Shakshuka). Das Menemen kostete 200 TL, was doppelt so viel ist wie in einem berühmten Frühstückslokal in Istanbul. Es war nur okay. Die Sigara Böregi bestanden aus nur vier kleinen Stücken für 130 TL—bereits eine Abzocke. Aber der schockierendste Teil war die Melonen- und Käseplatte für 240 TL: ein dünnes Stück Feta-Käse und zwei Stücke Melone. Was für ein Witz! Wir schickten das zurück, und obwohl sie es ohne Drama zurücknahmen, behaupteten sie, es sei "nur eine Vorspeisenplatte, das ist normal." Nein, das ist nicht normal.

Diese Orte rund um die Strände und Strandstädte in der Türkei nutzen Touristen, sowohl lokale als auch internationale, aus. Die Leute haben es satt. Man kann sehen, dass alle Hotels und Restaurants leer sind. Und dann werden sie sich beschweren, dass das Geschäft und das Leben hart sind. Wenn ihr so weitermacht, werden die Leute definitiv nicht zurückkommen.

Personel güler yüzlü ve arkadaş canlısı olsa da, porsiyonlar ve fiyatlar İstanbul'daki popüler ve yüksek sınıf mekanlara kıyasla, Almanya'dan bahsetmiyorum bile, fahiş derecede yüksekti. Sigara Böreği, Peynir ve Kavun Tabağı ve Menemen (şakşuka) sipariş ettik. Menemen 200 TL idi ve İstanbul'daki ünlü bir kahvaltı mekanında ödediğinizin iki katıydı. Sadece idare ederdi. Sigara Böreği sadece dört küçük parçadan oluşuyordu ve 130 TL'ydi—zaten bir soygun. Ancak en şok edici olan kısım, 240 TL'lik kavun ve peynir tabağıydı: bir ince dilim beyaz peynir ve iki parça kavun. Bu bir şaka olmalı! Geri gönderdik ve drama çıkarmadan geri aldılar ama bunun "sadece bir başlangıç tabağı, normal" olduğunu söylediler. Hayır, bu normal değil.

Türkiye'deki plajlar ve sahil kasabalarındaki bu mekanlar, yerli veya yabancı turistlerden faydalanıyor. İnsanlar bıktı. Tüm otellerin ve restoranların boş olduğunu görebilirsiniz. Ve sonra işlerin ve hayatın zor olduğundan şikayet edecekler. Böyle devam ederseniz, insanlar kesinlikle geri...

100% recommend this restaurant! Cheapest beer in the area - draft beer 50ml only 30 lira. I had stuffed mushrooms w/cheese and garlic and butter - truly outstanding 40 lira. I also ordered a vegetarian pasta 70 lira but was accidentally given the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken - it was also very good, but wanted what I ordered (it got mixed up with another patron's dish) they happily switched it out for me. I couldn't finish it all and had it the next day and it was equally as good which to me is a sign of a very good meal. I think it's so affordable because it isn't directly on the beach, but close enough especially since it is sooooo delicious. Staff was lovely and the patio setting was comfortable and more importantly quite cool with the tree covering. I'm not sure how I will be able to try any other restaurants in the area after finding this affordable...

On corner of Calis beach heading towards Daphne Residences and Migros Jet. Big British following here; the owner is really great, and the food is spectacular. The servers are ok. I gave the server a good chunk in tip money with coin and he seemed confused; assuming because the Brit’s don’t tip. But the simplest of things like the onion rings and the Chicken wrap were absolutely delicious! Been a few times; beer is cold and delicious too! Great place to hang out with really good jukebox type music.

Edit: came back two years later july 27- this time in oppressive summer. Attentive staff, mostly Brits and Russians. Quiet spot in shade. Had the chicken wrap again. Cold Tuborg and Carlsberg and Guinness on draught if that is your thing. Good place...
