Oben Restaurant — Restaurant in Fethiye

Okay, this was an unexpected surprise, we’ve walked past this little place several times and not even thought about trying the place, that was until someone recommended it and boy were we pleased we did. The staff were welcoming and have a sense of humour which is nice. The service was impeccable and they bent over backwards to get everything right, I asked whether the Chicken shish was breast meat or thigh and he brought a portion out for me to see! That’s rare! He even put me a couple of Kofte on the side so I could try them. The food did not disappoint, it was hot and cooked fresh, the salad was exceptional and everything had a good flavour. But note just 2 little annoying things for u guys to fix, The staff is good, but is not sweet, for example when we order something new, they bring it and put it on the edge of the table and leave, they wont even look at us (its not a sweet move) they dont interact with us nor smile.

And the second annoying thing is after approximately 40-45 minutes after the food is on our table The waiters will start coming and asking if we are done so they will remove the plates; They came 4 times in 4 minuts!! And our plates are not even empty yet! (and the resto is not full! supposing they need our table for other customers) Regardless those i...

We dined here a few times a couple of years ago and made a point of returning when travelling between Kalkan and Dalyan as we liked it so much.

Oben was his usual friendly self and gave us a warm welcome. We shared a starter followed by sea bream for Mrs. and meatballs, mash and salad for me. Everything was cooked just right and tasted delicious. The Angora white wine was well chilled and very reasonably priced.
