Nena Lounge Göcek — Restaurant in Fethiye

Two of us arrived at 10:45 am on Monday, September 25th, 2023 . Seated at outside table beside water . There were no other customers in the restaurant. We ordered 2 iced coffees . The waiter never came back to get our breakfast order . 3 ladies arrived and were served 3 drinks next to us . The waiter stayed in the kitchen on his phone . Another couple arrived, but when the waiter was not helping, they got up and left. Finally my friend went up to the waiter and asked for him to please take our order . The order was simple... a plain croissant and a pancake with lemon . We waited another 25 minutes. FINALLY , we got up and said forget it ! We watched another server drop food and slide it back on plate . We told waiter he should get off his phone and attend to his job . I have lived in Turkiye for 6 years and this was the absolute Worst service I have received. Take the bloody phones away from staff and maybe the will do their jobs. A good initial welcome for 2 persons as early diners 19:00 and explained that there was going to be live music as the band were warming up on the stage. Restaurant section empty at the time. Ordered drinks, starters - 3 meze and 2 main meals. Meze drenched in oil. Whilst eating starter a large family arrived and were sat down next to us, service staff then wanted to clear the extra table by ours together with 2 plates etc. When there were plenty of other tables available for staff to use. Whilst attempting to eat the starters the mains arrived far too early, The flies began to enjoy the food before we did! Asked to pack up food to take away as a result. We were there for an evening meal about 3-4 nights ago and I absolutely wanted to share a review of this restaurant in Gocek which is a symbol of Turkish hospitality. It was very stylish, food was delicious, yet completely affordable for such high quality. Staff was extremely attentive, starting with Okan who greeted us and explained the menu at the entrance - he was friendly and funny, but not intrusive, and spoke excellent English. He really attracted our attention to Nena Lounge, and we are glad he did. We were initially just the 2 of us, but then some friends joined, and they set up a big table for us effortlessly.
