Seeing as this place was rated rather nicely online as well as it's close proximity to our hotel, we stopped by for a calm lunch. Since the city residents are less versed in English as a whole, you may find yourself having to point to menu item names and hoping for the best with the lack of photos. Our server seemed to also be the head of servers, which is a downside given the lack of attention towards your party. Proximity to the street for the outdoor seating under the misting fans was too short, making conversations a slight yelling match. After waiting for 35 minutes for our order of Iskender, Biftek and Aubergine Kebab, we had to flag our server down to ask where our food was. Within a minute or so, we received our Aubergine Kebab plate wrapped in saran wrap as though it had been reheated or packed for storage. Though the dish itself was on the better side, we couldn't say the same for the flavorless, overcooked mass of protein that was the Biftek. Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Topkapi, and it was a truly satisfying experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone. The decor blends traditional Turkish elements with a cozy, modern vibe that makes you feel right at home.
The food was the star of the show. We tried a selection of dishes including tender grilled meats, flavorful rice, fresh salads, and a perfectly seasoned lamb kebab that stole the spotlight. Everything tasted authentic and was clearly made with care.
Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. The staff took time to explain the menu and make sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.
Whether you’re familiar with Turkish cuisine or trying it for the first time, Topkapi is definitely worth a visit. Great food, great service, and a vibe that makes you want...

Mistake! On second time my vegetarian pizza was just piles of cheese on bread which was a bit dull and my partner’s food was not at all fresh - it was cold when it arrived and clearly had been cooked some time ago (probably for the lunch crowd) then they forgot to even reheat it. We complained and the server tried to make up for it with complimentary tea that we simply didn’t want and just upset us. Very unhappy and would...
