Hugely overrated. Food is 3 out of 5... Went there with some friends on our 12 th wedding anniversary dinner. Nothing to say about the meze selection and appetizers. They are good but also some other 100 restaurants in Istanbul.... baby calamari were pretty good...
Worst service I have ever had in Istanbul... Up to the point where we had to wait 20 mins after sitting down just to get some menus, slow and amateur service... The most shocking point was a server emptying the contents of a red wine glass to the fresh one he just brought in, and then topping it off with the second bottle of wine 😳... Staff not trained at all and ours was more interested in hitting on the 2 girls at the next table rather than ours...
If you are serious about food and service, pick somewhere else... If you have low expectations and would like to hang out with some young trendy crowd, go ahead and try them to the expense of a sizeable bill at the end....
Have to say that after I quietly complained about the whole experience inside while paying the bill away from my guests; the Sommelier came to our table to salvage the situation and to say a proper goodbye... Much appreciated the gesture... Most likely either the serving staff will be fired and Azur fixed or the Sommelier will go to a much better establishment...

We were booked on the first floor, where you have also a nice bar and lovely background music by a DJ, which later changed to a kind of nightclub with fantastic music and dancing.
The interior is so tasteful and you really see the love for details. By warm weather you have a beautiful terrace with an amazing view to the bosporus.
But the most important issue is the food!
Iam traveling a lot and saw already plenty of good restaurants, but the Azur in Yeniköy was simply the best seafood we ever had. We shared so many cold and warm starters and the taste and combination of seafood, herbs, vegetables and unbelievable sauces topped everything.
Also the combination of main course are fantastic.
We had for our seafood perfect white wines whereof the sommelier gave us the exact right recommendations.
A little lemon sorbet in between opened your mind and mouth again to continue with wonderful food!
Nevertheless the whole Azur Team made a great job, all the waiters are so friendly and look after us during our visit.

A Michelin Guide restaurant of this calibre is expected to have a service team that matches the quality coming from the kitchen. Unfortunately, the service was full of flaws and it was clear the team lacked proper training, experience and leadership. In our 2-hour experience, at least 10-12 service mistakes were made and the lack of a floor leader (restaurant mgr/ supervisor) was so clear - noone had an eye on the servers and the guests during the service. The language used by staff towards the guests and between themselves (one server shouting as "yavrum" from a distance to another server) felt more casual diner than fine dining. A real pity, because the food shows promise — but without a serious investment in service standards, the experience falls short of what one expects...
