Island Beach Cafe — Restaurant in Entebbe City

Worst experience ever. I am here in Uganda for vacation. Just been there with my wife and we went trough a nightmare. we ordered drinks and grilled fish. It is so dark inside that you barely see your food. Once you ate half through the fish, you find out that it is not cooked well done. so you leave the other half right. ? And then you complain that you will not pay for the fish. Then, instead of just admit the mistake, apologize and credit the fish, the staff started to be very rude and aggressive, saying we ate the fish but did not want to pay. They even insulted my wife. Even the security guard with a AK47 got involved to force us to pay for the uncooked fish.

Advise. Don't go there, these people are dishonest and they will try...

The location is beautifully situated right by the water. But the rest was horrible. The service is extremely slow, we are used to wait at least an hour for our food in Uganda but this was next level; we waited for almost two hours! Furthermore the waitress tried to pressure us into talking to two male guests at the bar and wouldn’t accept our no. The food was not good. The beef was over cooked and not spiced well, the fries tasted like rotten oil. The chicken tasted bland and was mostly bones and fat, more than actual meat. Would definitely...
