Authentic Flavors & Warm Hospitality in Fort Portal
My recent visit to Capital 1 Restaurant in Fort Portal was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the warm and humble service stood out. The Batooro staff, elegantly dressed in smart hostess-style uniforms, added a distinct touch of local grace and professionalism to the dining experience. Their attentiveness was genuine and greatly appreciated.
The atmosphere perfectly complements the service: calm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. It's exactly the kind of relaxed and inviting environment where I'd feel proud to bring a friend for a genuine taste of Fort Portal hospitality.
Now, for the highlight – the food! I opted for the katoogo beans, which were not only incredibly tasty and authentic but also offered at a very affordable price. Overall, Capital 1 Restaurant delivers a wonderful combination of delicious, affordable local cuisine, a serene and friendly atmosphere, and service characterized by beautiful, humble hospitality. Highly...

Rude schoolgirl waitress eyed me up and down then - very obviously - talked about me to colleague in local language, as I stood right next to them. What a rude welcome! (I only stayed for lunch as my group had pre ordered. Otherwise I would have walked out). Typical local food restaurant. Ate very salty peas (with carrots in tomato flavoured soup) with decent pilau rice. Range of seating, in and outside, suitable for groups. Clean toilet if you get key and walk down...
