I have eaten at the Gardens many times over the years. It's a local institution but they seem to take that status for granted. There are always lots of staff, yet the service is never as good as it should be, considering the prices, which are equivalent to Kampala.

I was very disappointed with yesterday's visit when I had a horrible salad. For the second time, the salad appeared without the rolls that were on the menu. No mention was made of the missing items, and when I complained, there was never any chance that I would get a discount. The salad itself was really watery, nothing like what it was when I enjoyed it the very first time. I asked to speak to the chef and he apologized but I didn't get any sense that anything will improve. The friend I shared the salad with texted me this morning to say she has food poisoning. We ate chicken salad with peanut sauce. No-one else among staff seemed to care that I was having an issue.

A reliable option for locals and tourists alike. The lunch buffet is famous, with a good range of dishes. The Gardens also makes good cappuccino, serves alcohol and has an extensive à la carte menu of international and local food options.

The craft shop next door is good with a decent selection of the quality...

Located in fort portal on Kampala road It has an ample parking, security is tight in the parking yard, services like car washing are provided since there is a washing bay alongside the parking yard. Skilled personnels are employed to ensure quality services at the washing bay. To talk about space for conferences they have a big conference Hall, nice looking, address system in place to aid in communication. They also have a boutique where all sorts of clothes can be found Food staff of all kinds are available within the restaurant where customers are worked upon within a short period of time. The environment is conducive for not only old people but also children as there are shades provided by natural trees and umbrellas where necessary. The natural trees allow circulation of fresh air within the place additionally a stream passes through the court yard this makes the place cold...

The first time here was good. The food was good and they served in 30 minutes. That we can wait. But I heard a lot about the servers that they are not professional. And my second time here is not good. We were 8 people, and we wanted to order in advance since we are many. But they asked to deposit some money. Expensive lodge like Kyaniga and Nsaho, they never ask to deposit when we had dinner many times. So we just walked in without reservation, and the foods took ONE AND HALF HOURS, even though they said it would take 40 minutes. And the servers are not professional and not polite. You should improve your customer service. I see so many tourists are there, and they are smoking a lot even though its written non-smoking area. It's very simple. If you want good customer service,...

In general, The Garden's Restaurant is a really nice place. The service is great, the food is good, parking is well available, clean toilets, clean environment; generally it is a good place. But in my honest opinion, i'd order food rather than a buffet. Don't get me wrong, the Buffet is great but ordering would be better. The bar is perfect, the drinks too. It's a good place to have your kids eat at and is a nice place to grab a bite when heading to or from Queen Elizabeth. Be sure to pass through Fort Portal and enjoy The Garden's Restaurant.
