Coffee at Last — Restaurant in Kampala

My favourite cafe restaurant in Kampala! For lunch I ordered beefburger. This comes with a choice of chips, potato wedges, deep-fried plantain or mash. The burger buns were really fresh and I enjoyed the beef patty. Menu has a variety of burgers, special offers on pizzas on Tuesdays and Fridays, salads, various types of rolex and a good drinks menu. It was hot this afternoon so I had an iced tea, which came in a funky-looking glass.

Albert the owner has high attention to detail. He often welcomes the guests and loves hearing customer feedback. Staff are well-trained and friendly.

There's a nice range of seating. This afternoon I sat in the garden at a bench, underneath the awning. This morning I ate breakfast inside. Coffee at Last is very versatile, catering for all kinds of people, whether on their own working or with family. I recommend Coffee at Last and visit regularly.

I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for quite some time and have always enjoyed my visits. However, my last experience left me quite disappointed. During my visit, I accidentally broke a small coffee cup and was shocked to be charged 28,000 UGX for the breakage. After some negotiation, I managed to reduce the fee to 20,000 UGX, but I still feel that the charge was unreasonable.

Typically, I expect the cost of minor breakages to be factored into the overall pricing of meals, as a small part of the restaurant's costing strategy. This unexpected charge for an honest accident was quite off-putting. While I understand the need to cover costs, such incidents should be handled with more leniency, especially for regular customers.

I hope the management reconsiders this policy to ensure a better experience for all patrons.

Where do I start…. Customer service is TOP NOTCH! Upon arrival you are greeted by the team members with a smile. They are all very attentive.! I stumbled upon this place on a Friday ( Buy one get one) it was great!!! Such a wonderful deal. I got more than a deal- I got warmth, soul, character and charm. From the Soft ambient music in the back ground to the wonderful options- Coffee at Last made a lasting impression on my coffee experience. Diana is an EXCELLENT server and you can’t go wrong!! Although she is special- the ENTIRE staff is EXCELLENT: Ray, Dio, Damilie are my usual team members I find. The managers/ supervisors are always on staff and sooo helpful. Pamela & Cathrine keep doing a great job- it’s really telling about the mgmt when all team members they hire are outstanding. I love the coffee… it’s always hot and fresh.
