Disappointing Experience at Allo Beirut - Khalifa City Branch

I visited Allo Beirut in Khalifa City with a friend during lunchtime after a long day of work and driving a considerable distance to reach the restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was far from welcoming.

We were seated at a sofa table, but shortly after, an expat waiter rudely asked us to move because the table was "booked for other guests." When we inquired about the booking policy, he mentioned that the table was reserved for guests arriving at 3:30 PM, even though it was 1:30 PM at the time. This justification made no sense, as we had plenty of time to dine before the supposed reservation.

What was most disappointing was the lack of politeness and courtesy shown toward us as frequent guests. The waiter’s behavior was unprofessional and left us feeling unwelcome. As a result, we decided not to stay and left the restaurant.

The order included several classic Lebanese dishes: • Shakshouka: Well-balanced flavors with perfectly cooked eggs and a rich, spiced tomato sauce that adds depth without being too heavy. • Lahm Bi Ajeen (Meat Manousheh): Thin and crispy on the edges, with evenly spread, well-seasoned minced meat mixed with tomato and onion—clearly made with care and attention to detail. • Cheese Manousheh: Light and tasty, with fresh cheese that had a clean, mild flavor—not overly salty. • Falafel: Golden and crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Nicely presented and served with a smooth tahini sauce that paired perfectly. • Foul with Tahini: Looked and tasted great—smooth consistency, with a balanced mix of fava beans and tahini that wasn’t too thick or bland. Very satisfying portion size too.
