I kicked off the afternoon with the Cocoberry mocktail. A gorgeous blend of creamy coconut and zesty lime, topped with juicy blackberries. This drink was mixed to perfection, with a mellow sweetness that felt just right not overpowering, but super refreshing. Each sip was like a taste of a tropical sunset, light and calming, exactly what you want in a golden-hour drink. Honestly, it was the perfect sundowner mocktail and a must try to start off any meal.
Then came one of my favorite starters: fresh oysters on the half shell, and the presentation was absolutely stunning. Each oyster sat on a bed of crushed ice, topped with little citrusy gel pearls (just imagine a Japanese style caviar) and a bright drizzle of tosazu. Finely chopped chives and strands of seaweed, added bright pink peppercorns that popped visually and extra fragrance. The oysters themselves were incredibly fresh and briny, and that zesty tosazu gave the perfect tangy kick. Every bite felt like a little ocean explosion ☺️ elegant, clean, and simply delicious.
Next up was the hot starter: the crispy calamari. I’ll admit, it’s a classic I always order, and it did not disappoint. Each squid ring was coated in a light, super crispy batter and fried to a perfect golden brown. When you bit into one, you got a satisfying crunch followed by tender, melt in your mouth squid (absolutely no rubberiness) Each bite was insanely tasty. Seriously, these crispy rings were addictive.
For dessert, I went with the Muchidoki Matcha. Matcha ice cream wrapped in a pillowy soft mochi shell. It arrived looking super cute like me. LOL. A round green mochi sliced into halves, hiding creamy ice cream inside. The mochi layer was delightfully chewy and soft (not too thin, which I loved), and the ice cream filling was rich and smooth. It was definitely on the sweeter side. Personally, I would have enjoyed a stronger hit of matcha green tea flavor to balance that sweetness. But hey, if you have a sweet tooth and love green tea desserts, it’s still a charming, Instagram worthy way to wrap up the meal.
I soaked up the atmosphere, it was something special. The sunset view was worth the visit, golden light flooded the rooftop and turned the skyline into a masterpiece. The art lounge has a chill, upscale vibe with comfy seating and soft music. The server was super friendly and attentive, always there to refill our drinks or explain a dish whenever asked, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. By the end of the day, I felt totally relaxed. It was the perfect combo of great food, good company, and that killer sunset view.

Read moreLovely spot with a rooftop view of the sunset. Food and drinks were a little overpriced, but good. Even a DJ playing music to set the vibe. The VIBE KILLER for my experience here was the little man who literally yelled at me for walking into an area to see the view of the sunset from that side. The area was completely empty and apparently VIP but not marked by any signage, so I guess I was supposed to psychically intuit this. Regardless, this information could have been shared without the shouting. I calmly clarified to the little man in a white button up shirt with a tie that I wasn’t looking to sit in the area, but he didn’t seem to want to hear anything other than his own screaming voice. After returning to my table on the other side of the lounge, my service from the female server there was actually quite good. So, if at the louvre, give this a place a chance but look out for the Little Man on...
