From the moment I stepped into restaurant I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that set the perfect mood for a relaxing meal.

#Exceptional Service

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the manager Ganesh. His attentiveness and professionalism were truly commendable. Ganesh greeted us with a genuine smile and immediately made us feel welcome. Throughout the evening, they demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations and patiently answering our questions.

What stood out most was Ganesh ability to anticipate our needs. Our water glasses were never empty, and he checked on us at just the right intervals – present when needed but never intrusive. His timing was impeccable, ensuring each course arrived at the perfect moment.

The food itself was a testament to the chef's skill. I started with the traditional buffalo sauce wings , a delightful blend of flavours that whetted my appetite. For the main course, I opted for the oak smoked texas beef briskets , warm bowls with chicken chipotle spiced and the chicken burger which was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.

The only good thing to say about the service was the food, and even that had its issues. Their pricing is very questionable, they provide meals for 3 people but it only comes with a side that feeds 1 person, and they expect you to pay extra if you wanted more sides, which is a very cheap tactic in my opinion, ESPECIALLY for the prices you’re paying for each meal.

Hospitality was horrible, the waiter had a very bad attitude in dealing with our table and I would mention his name but I decided not to, I urge the owner to move them to a position where they are not dealing with customers, if they care about their business.

With regards to the food, we ordered 4 of their “most premium” steaks and we had to send back two of them for being either undercooked or overcooked, which is shocking for a restaurant that makes such bold claims in meat quality.

The service came with no plates, utensils, or any beverages. We ordered beverages and they came almost 15 minutes later after we had to remind the server that we ordered drinks, and when they finally did get served we got it with no glasses. How are we supposed to drink the beverages we waited 15 minutes for, our hands? We got served sides with no condiments and when we had to ask for condiments we got surprised to get an empty ketchup bottle, and the server didn’t even realize they had served us an empty ketchup bottle until we pointed it out.

The South African steak, ordered well-done, was cooked to perfection. Despite the usual risk of losing tenderness with a well-done steak, this one remained juicy and flavorful. The seasoning was spot-on, with a rich blend of spices that enhanced the natural taste of the meat. Each bite was satisfying, and it was clear that the kitchen put a lot of care into achieving the right balance.

As for the Norwegian salmon, it was absolutely delicious. The fish was tender, flaky, and carried a fresh, delicate flavor. Paired with the right seasoning, it offered a perfect balance between richness and lightness, making it a dish that felt both comforting and refined.

In addition to the amazing food, I must give a shoutout to the manager, Ganesh. He was super helpful throughout our visit, ensuring that we were well taken care of and offering excellent recommendations. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find such attentive and personable service, and Ganesh truly elevated our time at Famous Dave’s.
