I have been meaning to come here for a while and followers the Instagram account for almost 2 yrs. I especially was hanging to try the sourdough croissants. Every time I have come, they’ve been sold out.

I attended with my son on a Sunday at 11.30am. To our luck they had the croissants (no cheese though), but no egg based dishes (I guess my fault for not coming earlier). My son’s comment was what restaurant runs out of eggs? I explained it’s to limit what the kitchen works with.

I didn’t appreciate walking into a near empty restaurant and being asked to make reservations (literally 3 tables had ppl on them). I was told by our waitress that it was because the reservation system was linked to the kitchen. I then made a reservation online through my phone, held hostage in exchange for my teddy cortado.

We ordered a plain croissant a chocolate one, and in absence of eggs, a halloumi sandwich. The croissants came heated even though we didn’t ask for it no were we asked. So I returned them as I don’t like flat greasy croissants. The staff obliged, however the croissant was not to the quality I had expected.

The coffee by the way was spot on and perfect! Strong bold, well roasted beans - what a coffee should taste like.

Not a fan of the Smurf cutlery for a grill based restaurant! These things look nice but very impractical even for Brekky. We had to ask twice for cutlery to be provided.

The halloumi sandwich is super thick and flavourful. Would definitely order this again.

I was considering my review and desperately wanted to give the meat based restaurant a fair go. So I ordered a tenderloin steak. I was not asked how I would like it to be cooked!

Our plates were changed. Still silly forks, but now with a steak knife that looks like it has been through battle.

The tenderloin arrived on a plate with very healthy proportions. The meat was a perfect medium rare - chapeau bas! The steaming potato pre-boiled and finish on the grill. The side salad wilted and potentially was in the same battle as the steak knives.

Btw you can tell a lot about a place from their washrooms. Here they were dark (like seriously dark), clean but the toilet flush requires muscle to work. As look as you don’t mind doing your business in the dark and have Popeye arms, you are good.

I will come back again - only for the meat dishes and I will bring my own cutlery. (Oh yea and I will reserve ahead).

Flavors Grill in Abu Dhabi offers a culinary journey like no other, and my recent visit left me compelled to share my experience on Google Maps. Situated in the historic Mina Zayed, the restaurant’s location itself adds a unique charm, immersing patrons in the rich history of Abu Dhabi’s birthplace.

What struck me immediately was the dedication to authenticity and heritage. Flavors Grill stands apart from the glitzy downtown scene, opting instead for the historical setting of Mina Zayed. This choice by Chef Nabeel Flavours’ founder reflects a commitment to preserving cultural roots, creating an atmosphere that resonates with the echoes of the past.

The ambiance at Flavors Grill is carefully curated to prioritize the diner’s experience. It’s more than just a place to eat; it’s an environment designed for engagement, friendliness, and an unforgettable dining experience. The departure from the typical flashy settings is refreshing, providing a welcome change for those seeking a more intimate and authentic atmosphere.

The heart of Flavors Grill is undoubtedly family, as emphasized by Chef Nabeel. This commitment extends beyond just the menu; it’s a philosophy that translates into a warm and inclusive environment. The restaurant’s focus on social entrepreneurship for the community is commendable, making the dining experience not only enjoyable but also meaningful.

Now, let’s talk about the fries – absolutely delicious! The culinary offerings at Flavors Grill are a testament to their dedication to flavor and quality. Each bite was a delight, leaving a lasting impression. A special shout-out to Edith and Janine for their outstanding service. Their attentiveness and dedication added a personal touch to the meal, elevating the overall experience.

In summary, Flavors Grill is more than just a restaurant; it’s a destination where history, hospitality, and exceptional cuisine converge. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this culinary gem in Mina Zayed is a must-visit. Looking forward to returning for more delightful flavors, warm hospitality, and the overall outstanding experience that Flavors Grill...

If you’re looking for a place that truly understands how to serve a proper steak, look no further than Iron Flame Steak & Grill. From the moment we stepped in, the smoky aroma of grilled meat let us know we were in for something special. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming—dim lights, rustic wood accents, and the subtle sizzle from the open grill made it feel both lively and intimate.

We started with their house-made jalapeño cheddar rolls (highly recommended), but the real star was, of course, the steak. I ordered the ribeye medium-rare, and it came out exactly as requested—juicy, tender, with a beautifully charred crust. The seasoning was spot on, and the meat spoke for itself: rich, flavorful, and expertly cooked. The sides were just as impressive; the truffle mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus hit all the right notes.

Whether you’re a steak purist or like something a bit more adventurous, the menu delivers quality across the board. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit.

Our server May and princess were absolutely outstanding and a big part of what made our dinner so enjoyable. From the get-go, she made us feel welcome, greeting us with a warm smile and taking the time to make sure we were comfortable.

She knew the steak menu inside and out, and helped us choose cuts and sides based on what we liked—without ever making it feel rushed or scripted. Her timing was perfect, checking in at just the right moments and making sure our drinks stayed full and our steaks arrived hot.

What really stood out was her professionalism and calm confidence. Even when the restaurant got busy, May never seemed flustered. She was efficient, kind, and genuinely cared that we had a great time.

If you’re lucky enough to have May as your server, you’re in good hands. She’s everything great service should be—knowledgeable, attentive, and...

Great place .. true fit for the name “Flavors”.. the food is full of flavors. We really enjoyed our dinner but got couple of recommendations for improvement: 1. The chicken liver appetizer: very tasty cooked in herbs and garlic creamy sauce. Only 6 small pieces of liver were served swimming in a lot of sauce. One would expect more liver than sauce since we ordered the liver not the sauce. For the price (69 AED) would have expected more liver to be served. We order chicken liver if it’s on the menu at any restaurant, usually the price range is 25 - 40 AED and quantity much more. 2. Antarah Beef Burger: I wanted to try it and my friend decided to copy me so we ordered two. The two burgers were served cut in half and on a wood slab .. just the burgers .. no pickle .. no grilled onions or tomatoes on the side .. no leaf of lettuce.. so I think it lacked presentation big time which is unfair to this fantastic burger. Also, since we ordered 2 burgers, they should be served on separate plates not together. My friend didn’t feel comfortable reach to the same plate I did. Overall, great restaurant serving quality food. Will go back again hopefully soon. May
