Kubo Restaurant Ajman — Restaurant in Al Jerf

I ordered from this restaurant through talabat. I already waited for about 15-20 minutes until I received a notification that they cancelled my order without even calling me to ask if I want to cancel or replace my order. It did not show in the app that the restaurant was busy nor did it show that the items I chose were not available. I already paid my order through credit card, just like what I always do. Yes, I received the full refund from talabat credit, but do you think that I will be able to use TALABAT CREDIT to pay for my credit card? I asked assistance from talabat app, and the customer service was able to call me as soon as I made the complaint, and the customer service told me that the items I ordered were not available. I told him that this has happened before with other restaurants but they always call me to inform me and ask wether its okay to replace or cancel my order. I messaged the restaurant through their whatsapp number to try to reach them and receive an explanation regarding my concern. Unfortunately, the staff whose name is “Rhob” was so unprofessional in resolving the issue. Calling me “ATE” as if I am just a nobody. From his side of the story, he admitted that they accidentally pressed the “cancel” button, but they did not even make the effort to reach out to the customer and try to resolve the issue, just like how other restaurants are doing. He told me that I don’t have my mobile number in the talabat app, but how come that the customer service was able to call me? I asked for anyone in charge or supervisor, or the owner, and he told me that the owner’s name is “ATE NICA”. Really though? You call the owner “ATE” as if she’s not your boss? And he was not even apologetic just like how decent people would do. I can’t believe how unprofessional your staff are. The incompetence and unprofessionalism of your staff is so unacceptable. Just because I am your kabayan, doesn’t mean that I should be treated less...

We were on our staycation at Sheraton Beach Resort Sharjah and decided to have our lunch outside. We were lookin’ for one of the best Filipino restaurant nearby and the first that came to our lists was KUBO and upon checking the good reviews it seems very convincing…and sooo we went!

The place was small though however as soon as you enter the shop it’ll give u the PILIPINAS feel vibes somehow. They do have cute pictures and slogans inside the resto and it can be “instagram able”

Food was reaaaaally good especially the TOFU, mix pancit, beef sisig and the beef broccoli.

I wasn’t able to get the lady who assisted us but it was such a very good gesture of her that since I’m holding my baby and couldn’t join yet my Family eating, she asked me if I would like her to hold my baby for awhile so that I could eat.

One of the Chefs (I guess) also came out to greet us. Thus, all the good reviews in here are indeed truthful👌🏻

Legit good food. 💯 Kubo Restaurant serves great food that tastes like a traditional home-cooked Filipino hearty meals that will surely make you feel at home.

Their Kare-kare is soooooo good 🙌 Sauce palang, ulam na. Plus the bagoong that comes with it perfectly enhanced the flavor of the kare-kare. We also ordered Kaldereta. Definitely one of their best dish. 👍 It was flavorful and the beef was tender 💯 The bulalo was meaty and the soup was very rich. Lastly, we had the Lomi Overload which tasted like a classic Lomi Batangas although you need to be careful with the chicken strips in it as it can be bery spicy. Overall food experience is definitely a 9/10 🙌✨
