Having spent most of my life in the middle East, I can safely say the food is below average. Folks living within the community don't have an option and have to deal with this place.
The shawarma is very very average to say the least and to be honest not expected from a joint run by Syrians / Arabs (I'm led to believe it's run by Syrians, I could be wrong) . While the quality of shawarmas are not spectacular in Dubai but any average arab joint would make much better shawarmas. There is simply no comparison with Laffah in Barsha or Aroos Damascus around Dubai. I thought the Syrian sausage was average.
A comment to note for the chap at the counter taking orders. Either deal with your clients or watch the movie. Can't do both simultaneously as you're got earplugs. That can lead to hearing issues while taking orders. Precisely what I faced. And yes when a customer points out that you ain't hearing me well, don't argue. Take of those earplugs and you'll hear me better.
Happened on two occasions and messed up my order.

What a shame! Could have been a nice little community goto restaurant after a tiring day or when...

Read moreMixed feelings about this Arabic BBQ place. I've tried their shawarma before during a visit, and it was decent - a solid option for a quick bite. However, I recently ordered their kabab for takeout, and it was a bit of a letdown. The flavors fell flat, and the meat was a tad dry.
On a positive note, they did throw in a free zaatar croissant for me to try. That was a nice surprise, and the croissant was actually quite delicious! It was flaky, buttery, and the zaatar seasoning was spot-on.
Overall, it's a mixed bag. If you're in a pinch and craving shawarma, it's not a bad choice, but I'd probably skip the kabab next time. The complimentary zaatar croissant earns them some extra...
