Stopped to get a shawarma for lunch but were told they only serve them after 5pm :(

Also, no-one spoke English so it was had to get any attention from all the male servers present. In fact they just ignored us which was a bit weird.

However, eventually our server, a very pleasant young lady called Noor, was the perfect host. She helped us order a half grilled chicken, hummus with meat and moutabel which were all very good. The chicken was well marinated and very juicy, the hummus actually tasted like hummus and the moutabel was authentic as well. We even got a cup of freshly squeezed pomegranate juice on ice!!!

We enjoyed our meal but this place needs to have some English / Urdu / Hindi speaking staff available just in case you do receive some non Arabic...

Greetings everyone. Before I explain why I have given this restaurant a single star rating, I want to clarify that I have been visiting this restaurant everytime we visit Al Ain from Dubai for the past couple of years and it has been excellent, food quality wise, food quantity wise and price wise.

However, on my recent trip during Eid holidays along with my family, I felt something off right from the entrance. The manager seemed arrogant, the staff was not helpful and the most disappointing part of whole visit was the arrival of ordered dishes. The prices were sky high and quantity was bits and pieces whereas the taste wasn't succulent as well.

I dropped by on my one day trip el AlAin to have lunch. The ambience of the place is really lovely. It’s a simple restaurant yet it has an oriental spirit.

They have hot daily dishes in addition to their normal menu. I ordered “special” mix grill, which to my surprise came with a huge salad. I am not really accustomed to freebies coming from Dubai, so that was a nice touch. Their juices are also very good. The watermelon one I had was refreshing in this hot and steamy weather.
