WOW. Barbecue Nation got me so OVERWHELMED! Went there on a Saturday night during Ramadan and the place was packed. So much food!!! I first had my BBQN experience in Mumbai and the same concept was adopted in the UAE and other parts of the world. They grill the starters on your table - all kinds of meat and non veg options such as pineapple and paneer. Then comes the buffet. During Ramadan, they also have a separate iftar menu. Let's start with the chaat station. They serve variations of Indian street food such as pani puri, bhel puri, sev puri... anything you feel like having, they probably have it. They can customize your chaat sesh according to how you like your treats. The mains accommodate both veg and non veg palates with options such as biryani, butter chicken, dal (lentil soup), and a whole lot more. Whatever Indian dish you can think of, chances are - it's on the buffet menu. This is a good way to introduce non Indians to Indian cuisine. Have them try a little of everything. Even "a little" ends up getting you so full. Gulab jamun is always a favorite when it comes to desserts. They have a variety of kulfi options, which is quite popular in India. Aside from jalebi and other Indian sweets, they also have kunafa and other Arabic-inspired options. All of that food costs about 80 AED - can you say affordable?! Compare this with regular brunch buffets that cost more than double. Barbecue Nation is definitely more than barbecue. It's the Indian hospitality experience. It's the local warmth and friendliness that would make your family feel right at home when you're dining here. Will definitely be back.

Barbeque Nation has a buffet menu for lunch and dinner offering a vast choice of dishes. The lunch buffet is 59 Dhs on weekdays and includes a complimentary mocktail which is not included in the evening buffet. The highlight for me was the live grill where the servers bring a barbecue to the table along with chicken, meat, fish and prawn skewers for starters. Additionally we were brought mutton seekh kebabs and Angara wings which were definitely worth a mention. There was a salad bar to complement the starters and once finished we descended upon the chaat station. I’m a huge fan of chaats and Indian street food so set about ordering the pani puri and papdi chaat. The chaat was tasty although I felt the pani puri could have done with a bit more of a kick in the pani to give it a tangy taste. There was a stir fry station, dal station, tawa sabji which consisted of fresh spicy vegetables and 3 types of biryanis. I especially enjoyed the mutton biryani with its fragrant rice and spicy mutton. As if that wasn’t enough food, there was a selection of veg and non-veg dishes which were tasty and freshly made. To finish off, there was a spread of cakes and other sweet treats along with the Indian sweets. I particularly enjoyed their gulab jamun and kulfi and was full to the brim at the end of the meal! Overall, I was impressed, the food and service were great. At such a good price, neither flavour nor quantity was lacking. I will certainly consider bringing the family with me the next time.

At BBQ Nations, guests are treated to an enticing all-you-can-eat affair complete with a BBQ grill stationed conveniently at each table. Amidst the bustling atmosphere, Anup's exceptional hospitality shone through as he adeptly navigated the demands of a busy evening, ensuring each patron felt attended to and valued. Our visit coincided with iftar, with the meal priced at 91+ VAT, a figure that seemed reasonable given the promised indulgence. As we eagerly anticipated the feast ahead, we were met with a somewhat mixed experience. While the variety of offerings was commendable, ranging from succulent meats to tantalizing sides, it was the quality of the BBQ meats that left something to be desired. Despite expectations, the meats fell short of the standard one might hope for in a BBQ-centric establishment. While they were by no means unpleasant, there was a discernible lack of depth and flavor in some selections, leading us to feel that the experience was somewhat underwhelming. However, it's worth noting that the price point did somewhat justify the quality of the fare. For the cost, one can reasonably expect a certain level of satisfaction, and in that regard, BBQ Nations managed to deliver. The ambiance, service, and overall dining experience were pleasant enough to offset the slight disappointment in the culinary offerings.
