🥐 I want more of Birch’s stuff
Those who know me, know very well how I go weak over viennoiseries… so of course I wanted to try as much as I could. You see me cleaning the box till the last fallen flake, because ain’t no tiny bit going to waste!
🥐🧈 They don’t reheat the goods for you so they “don’t get soggy”, which is fine by me because they were delicious and still held a certain crunch by 10 AM. My brother would’ve preferred they’re hot.
▪️Hawt Dawg: That big angus frankfurter… gimme more of it. I would love to try this one fresh out of the oven.
▪️Almond Croissant: Properly filled, generous, sweetness just right
▪️Zaatar: Tasty and beautiful! Also not the type that causes acid reflux (at least it didn’t to my sensitive stomach)
▪️Puttanesca Danish: Its flaky layers will melt your heart any day
▪️By 10 AM, not all options were available. They take pre-orders from the day before, and some early risers beat you to your favorites.
🤵🏻♂️🤵🏻♀️ Staff is genuinely friendly, easily drawing a smile on your face, which is always a good start to your day.
📍🖼️ The hidden aspect of Birch adds the 5th star to this review. Minimally branded on the outside with cool art on the inside, the space is big enough for a quick coffee and breakfast, yet small enough to not spend hours there with your laptop.
💸 The total for 4 choices was 94 aed, which would be considered slightly high to some people, but the generous size of each is definitely...
Read moreWell after seeing your social media posts and hype, I did push my hubby to visit Birch Bakery Al Qouz one and was so so surprised... I was not happy with any thing apart from the delicious morning bun...come on how can u get coffee wrong...
Few points for those who are planning to visit Birch...
looks crowded but its crowded because they literally have 1 person running to take orders, going inside to get the orders...ofcourse there was long line but since I was there for almost 45 mins I noticed that they could serve only 3 - 4 customers after my purchase that too in 40 mins its over priced, definitely the setup is so so basic for the price they charge, the coffee counter was absolutely full of flies..atleast maintain hygiene pls..... plants were full of dust and clogged water food was served super cold
Power of photography and social media is such that it can literally mis sell everything..i request Birch owners and team to atleast justify the hype...
Read moreI loved the idea of a window serving baked goods, long before I saw Birch Bakery. There’s a certain warmth to that, and especially when you see the outdoor seating (covered) with benches, it takes you back in time to a rural bakery (that I’ve never been to, but always been nostalgic for). Well, that’s the ambience part. Forgive me if the space you see isn’t as polished and fancy as you expected a bakery in Dubai to be. But, if I lived in the neighborhood, this is where I’d be going every day to get my breakfast and other baked goods.
So, about food… they are truly one of the best bakeries I have been to, if not the best. What I love is also the innovative nature of products, and occasional pastries that integrate local flavors with international baking standards. This morning, I tried their Eid special pistachio baklava pastry and savory croissant pudding. If you are into sourdough, do try their sourdough...
