Clearly you are not making improvements internally based on previous feedback- I just read a review where someone had the same experience I had today. Your staff forced me to buy a combo meal with the ayran which I don’t drink and didn’t want and said that’s all they do despite a massive advert for a sandwich only being plastered to the wall on the background!! How is it that the same sandwich that is given as part of a combo meal while being advertised as being sold alone cannot be sold alone as per your staff there?! That is the most ridiculous load of nonsense that makes NO SENSE whatsoever why are you forcibly trying to upsell your products onto previously loyal customers?! Needless to say despite my family and I having been regular visitors, will not be visiting again because you advertise one thing boldly and your staff lie and try to sell us things we don’t actually want. Terrible business strategy for the long term- enjoy the few extra dirhams she made for you today I don’t like to deal with businesses who have no ethics where staff lie outright so I will be taking my business elsewhere. Finally and probably most importantly the meat was off. I bought two combos and both my 15 yr old son and my mother noticed it right away. Unfortunately I had left the restaurant with both combos as takeaway and was in a rush to get home and we only attempted to eat the sandwiches 15-20 mins later and the weather was cool and they hadn’t been left in the heat so I think this is something that dubai municipality should look into because you could end up giving people...
Read moreWent there tonight for dinner. I know it's weekend and it's busy. I know it takes time to be seated during the weekend. Just at some point gets frustrating to see people who came after you being seated before you. Also I saw less number of people sitting on bigger tables which is insulting for the other guests who must squeeze themselves on a table with ottoman chairs. Service was slow. Maybe they are shortstaffed, I don't know. But we waited so much to get our waters and drinks. Didn't seem proper to us. They offer "ayran" in the menu. In reality it's a bottled laban style ayran which if I saw correctly is made in Lebanon. Nothing wrong with Lebanese laban of course, but it's Bosnian restaurant right? Shouldn't they offee something closer to the traditional Bosnian drink? Food was ok, but it's not like before. I remember years ago when they first opened the portions were much better. The cevapi was longer and the ayvar and yogurt sauces were more generous amount. Even now with the portions presented doesn't seem enough to have 12 pieces cevapi and one spoon ayvar and one spoon yogurt. I wish they invested in some standing AC or fans to make the air move and to be less hot in the sofa area. Definitely do not recommend this restaurant during a weekend. Maybe some other guests enjoyed it, but not us. Our whole experience was affected by the waiting to be seated and inadequate service. We won't come...
Read moreI think it’s been 8 years since I discovered Bosnian House, and it’s about time I gave them a review.
The first time I tried the restaurant, I was with my sister in law, honestly looking for a place to sit, after shopping and strolling Global Village.
However, we saw the pitas and were tempted to taste it, because it smelled and looked so delicious.
I was so happy we gave into the temptation.
I absolutely LOVE the bürek, and it’s become my benchmark for Büreks anywhere. In fact, I’m so infatuated by their pitas that I’ve tried multiple times to recreate it at home, but have never come close.
Since then, Bosnian House has come a long way and I’m happy for it’s success.
I visited recently with some friends and we were greeted by a very amiable looking host, by the name of Haris. He was extremely polite and quick to situate us to our table and assign a server to us.
I’m glad that the quality of food hasn’t gone down over the years, and that every year u can look forward to going back to Global Village just for Bosnian House, which in my mind is the OG Bosnian restaurant in Dubai.
Keep it up, everyone! And can’t wait to...
