Read moreTried this place out after reading good reviews about it, and it was an instant disappointment. Firstly, the air conditioning of this small place wasn't working, and sitting in for a mere few minutes became a challenge, and even though I was concerned about the hygiene of their staff including the cooks as well as the food storage in such a humid and hot environment, we still decided to give it a shot since the reviews were good and we were craving some street food. We ordered the dhai puri chaat and something in there tasted a bit off, perhaps the salad used. I don't blame them, anything would go bad in such a hot environment that too during the scorching dubai heat. The yogurt in the chaat was also not as thick as the one in other chaat places like puranmal. The pani puri was also pretty average taste wise. We also ordered the Bombay grill sandwich which the server had recommended himself, and I had even pointed it out on the menu while placing the order, it was the one without cheese. But our order arrived with cheese, again, we didn't bother to ask the server because at that point, all we wanted to do was to leave that boiling room.
The server was even a bit reluctant in handing the bill over to us, and just repeated the total amount while asking us to tap for the payment. We did ask for the bill and got it, but overall the behaviour wasn't too professional. We understand it's hot but you've still got to do the basics right.
The next day, we had a bad stomach and I blame their food for it, as it was the only meal I had...
Read moreMy review is going to be little long so apologies in advance well, I love kulfi and there are not many places near my house that serve authentic Indian kulfi, when I found chaat bazaar it was instant love, I tried to order via zomato but I came to know that they don't deliver kulfi due to many reasons, Which was a bummer but One day I just thought I would give it a shot by directly calling the shop, I placed my order and tried to sneak in 2 kulfi, the attendant immediately inform ma’am we don't deliver kulfi, I said I know, but I am ordering what I am ordering is for the kulfi so please deliver I live just 2 streets away, he kept insisting that it would be breaking the law of the shop, I need to take picture and send it to my boss, kulfis are not allowed, it will melt, I told him that I take full responsibility of the melting bit, just deliver the kulfi, If it melts you wont hear me nagging about it, I realized that I had put this attendant in a very difficult spot, should I deliver the kulfi and delight the customer? Or should I not deliver and keep up with the rules, I am glad that he choose the customer, he choose making sure that the customer is happy and I believe thats what the boss would also want,
I got the kulfis and they were absolutely amazing. I called the resturent back to thank them, This places is always crowded cos their food is good, do visit this authentic chaat place,
