We found this restaurant through the recommendation of a friend half a year ago and now it's become one of the favourite spots of me and my wife when we eat out! I'm sure I don't have to go into detail about how delicious the food here is because it's clearly evident from alllll the other reviews 😊 We always order the beef broth noodles, the fried beef noodles and the chicken wontons. I love food but I'm also picky when it comes to eating out because the quality matters for my sensitive tummy. I've always stuffed myself when eating here and have always left feeling utterly satiated and satisfied with absolutely no problems later (except for the occasional spiciness when I add wayyy too much chilli oil sometimes lol) 💯 the food here is authentic Chinese food that is made with a lot of love. When trying Chinese dishes for the first time, you'll notice a distinct aftertaste. That is the spicy pepper corn! You'll grow to love it and even crave it. It's one of the (many) things that make these dishes so unique and yummy tbh. Also, after some food bloggers posted about this restaurant it's been super crowded like all the time (I'm happy for the owners) so brace yourself cause you may have to wait for a little bit (5-10 mins usually) but it's totally worth it. Parking may also be a bit of a hassle, but again, it's very much worth it. Also, I gave the atmosphere 5 stars not cause it's fancy or aesthetically Instagram worthy, but because it adds to the authenticity of the restaurant, the food and the people that run it. I hope it continues getting the attention and customers that it deserves and that the restaurant stays true to themselves...
Read moreCheap, hot, fast (3 minutes) and super delicious!!! Chongqing noodle house may not look like much but the beef broth and noodles were spot on. We ate, we re-ordered and we even took some home for the next day. Maybe it was the time of day we went (7.30pm Tuesday), maybe the chef was in a good mood, maybe the ajinomoto was just right, maybe the peanut oil was freshly squeezed, I don't know but everything we ate was amazing. The fried beef noodles, beef noodle soup and the chicken wontons were ace. I wasn't crazy about the cured beef slices with chilli powder myself but I will be back. Here's my vote for hoping they keep it consistent and don't change the chef the, recipe or the product! We ordered ours at standard chilli level and some dishes we asked for without the peanut oil and peanuts for those with allergies. But the chilli, beef broth, szechuan peppers and star anise flavours were top top top! The chilli cucumbers on the side are cooling and refreshing for all the heat...
Read moreAn absolutely amazing and authentic place for Chinese noodles and wonton. The people here are friendly and super helpful. The food is brilliant.
Starting with the beef noodles, it is one of their best seller and rightfully so. It is flavorful and has the right amount of spices that hit the right place. They ask you for your spice level and make it just like you want them. The beef is aubandant and the green onions and peanuts enhance the sauce flavor a lot. Highly recommend.
The chicken wontons is my favorite. The peanut sauce, the spicy hit. The wontons are perfectly cooked and the minced meat is flavorful in itself. I highly recommend the chicken wontons. You will be satisfied no doubt.
The cold beef is a little blant to my taste. However, if you mix the cucumber spice to it, it works just fine.
If you want something fresh and other than the meaty stuff, go for the cucumber salad.
The drinks options are many and you can choose your drink from the...
