Hidden Gem for Peking Duck in Dubai

It all started one evening in Dubai when we found ourselves watching a travel vlog that featured Peking duck. Suddenly, the craving hit us hard. We couldn’t shake it off, so we dove into reviews, searched for options, and eventually stumbled upon this little spot that promised authentic Chinese flavors.

It wasn’t fancy at all—just a humble, hole-in-the-wall restaurant tucked away from the city’s glitz. But the moment we walked in, we knew we had found something special. Prices were reasonable, the menu was straightforward, and every dish promised that nostalgic, home-style Chinese taste.

The service was warm and welcoming, and to my delight, the owner even let me film while the Peking duck was being prepared. Watching the crispy skin being carved was almost as satisfying as the first bite itself—the skin was golden and perfectly crisp, while the meat underneath was tender and full of flavor.

And it wasn’t just the duck. The fried prawns and tofu were absolute standouts—comforting, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

We loved it so much that we actually went back a second time. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need glamour or polish—it wins you over with authenticity, flavor, and heart. If you’re in Dubai and craving genuine Chinese food without breaking the bank, this hidden gem is an...

Still the best peking roast duck in Dubai and arguably one of the best in the world! Kid you not, this little coffee shop style restaurant in the depths of International City serves excellent crispy skin roast duck with moist flesh and accompaniments of pancakes, hoisin sauce and juliennes of spring onion and cucumber. The restaurant is barely one, really run down but clean. It’s actually a hub for pick ups of take away orders. They have a smattering of other dishes in addition to their signature duck. Service is thorough and nonchalant. If you speak Mandarin you’ll get by easily. If you speak English you’ll still get by. I first came here about 7 years ago and they are going strong, churning out ducks by the dozens if not a hundred a day. Photos of the crown prince of Dubai sampling their duck hang on the walls. I tried their beef and potato stew which was flavourful and tender. Glad to have rediscovered this place after so long and glad to see them doing better in every way (except for the restaurant decor which needs...

This is by far the best pekin duck I have ever eaten in my life. This place takes you back to the noisy streets of China with all the little eateries it has. Inside interior will make you question your decision to come, however once the food comes you will forget all your doubts. If you are okay to be surrounded by a complete mess (like bags of toilet paper rolls, boxes and lots of random things), then you shall be rewarded with a beautiful gastronomical journey. Come very hungry. As food is yummy and portions are decent. Bring cash. They don’t accept cards (welcome to China outside of China haha) The place only has 3 tables and it gets pretty full, so I’d say be prepared to wait. Oh
