Hot Pot Heaven
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nine Squares Restaurant again, and overall, it was a delightful experience. Here's a breakdown of my review:
Ambiance: The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for the hot pot dining experience. The interior was tastefully decorated with warm colors and modern accents. The seating arrangement was comfortable, and the tables had built-in hot pot stations, which of course added to the excitement of the meal.
Service: The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and the various broths and ingredients available. They patiently explained the process to those unfamiliar with hot pot dining, making sure everyone felt comfortable with the cooking process. Refilling our drinks and promptly responding to requests were among the highlights of their service.
Hot Pot Selection: The restaurant offered a diverse selection of broths, ranging from mild and savory to fiery and spicy. The ability to choose multiple broths for one pot was a welcome option, allowing us to cater to everyone's taste preferences. The ingredients provided were fresh and of high quality, featuring an array of meat, seafood, vegetables, and tofu options.
Taste: The hot pot broth flavors were rich and flavorful, with the spices and ingredients blending together harmoniously. Whether you prefer a mild and comforting broth or a tongue-tingling spicy one, there's something for everyone's taste buds. The ingredients were fresh, and their quality was evident in the taste of the final dish.
Price: While the price may be slightly higher compared to regular restaurants, the hot pot experience, fresh ingredients, and excellent service make it worthwhile. It's a great option for a special occasion or gathering with friends and family.
Cleanliness: The restaurant maintained a clean and hygienic environment. The staff frequently changed out used utensils and kept the hot pot stations tidy. This attention to cleanliness contributed to a pleasant dining experience.
Overall, Nine Squares is a wonderful restaurant to indulge in the hot pot experience. With its inviting ambiance, excellent service, and tasty selection of broths and ingredients, it's a great spot to enjoy a communal and interactive meal with friends or family. Read moreA true hidden gem in Russia cluster, international City,Shabu Shabu at Nine squares restaurant was our introduction to hot pot, and we loved every bit of it.
We were seated around a bubbling pot of water..neatly divided into two- tomato sauce flavor and spicy. The appetizer was served first - fried beef strips , which was really good.
Just as the hot pot was getting ready, we were directed towards the sauce stand, to make our own dipping sauce mix, and had all sorts of spice and oil flavor to add to our dream dip.
Once the dipping sauce was made and set, the different meat and mushrooms to be cooked in the hot pot were brought in by the ever smiling and friendly staff, and was a visual delight of beef strips, shrimps, different mushrooms, tofu ( even black tofu) , crab balls , pasta and shrimp jelly ( an exclusive at nine square , we are told ).
Our cooking skills came to the fore as we were busy dipping and cooking all the above mentioned ingredients and savoring the delicious combination of the sauce, hot boiled meat and savory dipping sauce. This is an interesting concept where in we get to cook and eat our food, and every variation in dipping time, had a different flavor to it. We were impressed. highly recommended experience.
We also had stir fried noodles, which was really tasty and was well done.
The desserts were sticky rice with brown sugar sauce and golden brown fried buns with condensed milk- the buns were the highlight, and we loved every bit of it. It was melt in the mouth consistency, and combined with the condensed milk to make an absolute delight .
For drinks , we had the lemonade cooler which was nice, not too sweet, and subtle on flavor.
The interiors were very tastefully done, and had a classic laid back element to it.. all the way from the greens to the antiques on display- kudos to the owner.
This is an experience recommended for a group of three or more, as you can get more ingredients and have more fun. Moreover zomato gold is active as well.
PS : for hotpot rookies ( like us) the staff is very accommodating and explains everything well, and they have trainer chopsticks as well. We would have liked a bit more...

It was our first experience to try this. It was a beautifully decorated restaurant... ambience is very nice. Every table has it's own electric cooker. We got chicken, lamb, prawns, crabs, mixed tofu, mixed mushroom, mixed vegetables, mung bean noodles, seaweed, lotus root, white gourd, egg fried rice, cucumber salad. We prepared a dip for the soup.. we can choose from different types of ingredients.
It tastes really great..
Service was excellent. They're changing our plates and removing tissue papers from time to time. They're filling our soup pot from time to time.
For dessert we took ice tea with ice cream and ice coffee with cream. Desserts were very soothing on our palate after spicy Hotpot.
But its little bit expensive compared to other restaurants.
Taste: 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 5/5 Value...
