I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I took the first sip of the Tom Yum Shrimp Soup, I knew I was in for a treat. The flavors were well-mixed and burst in my mouth, instantly making my taste buds come alive. It was a perfect balance of sour, spicy, and aromatic notes that left me craving for more.

The Green Chicken Curry was unlike anything I had tasted before. It was evident that the dish was prepared with care and expertise, as the flavors were rich, complex, and oh-so-delicious. The tender chicken and the fragrant curry sauce complemented each other perfectly, creating a harmonious explosion of flavors on my palate.

Not only was the food exceptional, but the value for money was also impressive. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great option for those looking for authentic Thai cuisine without breaking the bank.

Apart from the culinary experience, the service was friendly and welcoming. The staff were attentive and ensured that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. However, it's worth noting that this restaurant is cash-only, so it's best to bring cash along to avoid any inconvenience.

**its a must...

Fantastic food - very authentic Thai food run by Chef Pon - it started as a delivery only place and they still do delivery but it’s great that they opened the dine in location. Can get busy in the afternoon after 2 till 4 on the weekends as there are limited tables.

We tried Tom yum soup, pad Thai, green curry and satay and everything was great. Good portion sizes and very economic. Can have a great meal for 4 for aed 200.

2023 Update: I returned here after a gap of 10 months and the interior had now been updated to match the restaurant as opposed to the original Pakistani place it was.

The food is still great and prices are unbelievable- spent 330 for a party of 10 for a very filling meal. Tried a variety of dishes - Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, Pad Grow Kapow, Beef Fry, Chicken Skewers and Thai Green Curry. The flavours match what you’d eat on the streets of Bangkok.

You can ask the lady at the counter to adjust your spice level and tone down the fish sauce if you aren’t a fan. Would recommend with family of you are looking for...

Authentic Thai Cuisine – A Hidden Gem in Dubai

If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Dubai, Tom Yum Kung in International City is an absolute must-visit. This is not a fancy, high-end restaurant, but rather a true Thai eatery where the focus is purely on flavor and authenticity.

The owner himself is in the kitchen, ensuring every dish is cooked to perfection. We had a rich, aromatic curry that was simply out of this world, and the Kap Krunk Pau was equally fantastic—packed with bold, balanced flavors that instantly transported us to Thailand.

Yes, the ambiance is simple and unpretentious, but that’s exactly what makes this place special. It’s all about real Thai food, made with passion. If you’re a true food lover, don’t let the modest setting deter you—this is one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in Dubai. Highly...

What more can I say that other reviewers haven’t? You can sense the soul, the care, the love that was given to each dish by the head chef/owner and his team. My favourite dishes of the night: shrimp yellow curry (#34 I think) and the BBQ beef, which I ate with steamed sticky rice. Delicious!!! Portions are generous, prices extremely reasonable for Dubai standards (but that’s why we’re out here in International City), ingredients super fresh, and everything came out really quickly. We also ordered their pad Thai seafood, tried their som tum (papaya salad) from our friends, and shared a mango sticky rice for dessert. Will come back to try their other dishes soon. There are parking spots outside of the restaurant, but they are usually taken, so plan accordingly and be prepared to circle around/park further away/come in a taxi.

Good food. We tried the Papaya salad and Chicken nd Cashew as starters. The pappaya salad was a different taste, good but not as much as hyped. The Pad thai had lots of meat and prawns and less of the noodles. Felt a bit too greasy and a bit too sweet. The best dish was the green curry chicken with a sweet base pallette and spicy cover. Paired with white rice, it was perfect. The biggest problem in dining is the difficulty of finding parking spaces. The chairs are a bit worn down and would benefit from some upgrades. The AC was not working properly, and in this heat, you need pedestal fans, which they had only 1.
