Absolutely good food! We're slowly finding more and more hidden gems in International City. I'm sure a lot of people in the neighbourhood know about this place, but it was our first time, and it didn't disappoint.
We ordered the Dyar Al Sham Mixed Grill (48aed) which only difference from the normal mixed grill (39aed) was that it had a piece of lamb chop and arayes with it. All we can say is that we're pleasantly surprised! Really good mixed grill, especially the eggplant Kebab. Juicy and tasty meat. We might order that separately next time (yes, there will be a next time!). We also ordered a plate of Arayes (32 aed I think) which was also good! Texture was amazing! Although, the side of fries for both dishes can be improved.
At the beginning of each meal they hand out a plate of veggies, bread, tuom, and water. I believe these aren't complimentary. We didn't touch them as we already ordered too much! But the veggies looked absolutely fresh and amazing.
At the end of the meal, they gave us sweet hot tea and a plate of watermelon, which was complimentary. It was a really nice end to the meal.
Lastly, service was good, contrary to what others may have said. Staff were pleasant and approachable.
Overall, it was an absolute gem of an experience. Will absolutely come back to try other things in the menu. Highly recommended!

We had guests over and ordered the food. Specifically we ordered the mixed grill, eggplant kebab, yoghurt kebab and hummus with meat.
After 40 minutes we inquired and were told it would arrive in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later we called again and were told again, 10 minutes. we Called the driver, and he was in a completely different neighborhood ( I assume making another delivery). It took another 20 minutes before they arrived, at which point we had to rush to eat, as our guests had to leave. Beyond this, the food was not kept in proper temperature control, so we received it it was very cold and we had to microwave it.
Much of the food was really poor. The appetizer dishes were put in very wide containers that look big but were really shallow. The Hummus with Meat had really poor quality ground beef - something I have never see in hummus and meat before. We had to scrape the meat away in order to eat the hummus. The eggplant kebab was barely edible with the kebab taking forever to chew and digest :S. The youghurt kebab was just mutton mixed in which some mayonnaise-type sauce.
Only some of the chicken wings and mutton were decent.
We complained to Zomato who said the restaurant would contact us. They never did, and throughout the whole process they were completely indifferent to the poor level of service. Very...
Read moreSo a couple of years ago my father ate from the restaurant and got awful stomach pain and was really sick for a couple of days, we assumed he caught a virus and never suspected it was the food he did mention the food tasted Un-fresh and wasn’t too tasty. Next time we went with an Arabic speaker and the food they served actually tasted fresh and was quite tasty since the Arabic speaker specifically told the waiter to serve us fresh food since we had other foreign guests. The food was served after 10-15 minutes and was fresh and tasty (as I already mentioned). The 3rd time we went was around 2 weeks ago and we ordered some BBQ and salad, the food arrived really quick (around 2 minutes) which was quite odd, then we began to eat the food and it tasted awful and rotten (we left more than half of the food for takeaway). The next day my dad was really sick again and he suffered the exact same symptoms of a couple of years back, I also suffered mild symptoms for a day. I don’t recommend this restaurant for people with a weak metabolism, and you should always strictly ask the waiter to serve...
