Babu Town Restaurant — Restaurant in Khor Fakkan

Beautiful location, pleasant breeze, good view around, scrumptious food, soulful hospitality and what not! Babu Town is what I am talking about which is an Indian Restaurant located in Khorfakhan, Fujairah.

I was very excited to visit this place and so our drive started from Dubai to Khorfakhan which took nearly two hours. Always love long drive and when it comes to scenic places my excitement double up. Added on, I was so happy to have good food which is double dhamaka.

Definitely the drive got us good vibes, when we reached we got a warm welcome and loved the interiors and the beach view.

Staff guided us in selecting the dishes. We opted their recommended dishes.

Food served was: Starters Pani puri definitely tasted unique with sauces and the fillings. Vegetable Samosa made me aww seeing the presentation and the potato filling tasted too good. Bhelpuri was presented differently and tasted so good with right amount of spice and sweetness. Chicken Nawabi Kebab is again a eye catching and soul soothing dish, presentation was too good and loved the cheese touch on this. A must try starter. Babu Dynamite Shrimp tasted amazing and it definitely make us to eat more.

Drinks: Babu Mango Frappe is a must to try delicious drink which comes in a can like soft drink but it’s a frappe Strawberry Margarita gives a amazing feel after every sip, again beautifully presented.

Watermelon Salad is what we need for this summer weather, loved to the core.

Main Course Vegetable Briyani is what I wanted to try because of its unique presentation like a ballon or bag filled with air, when we cut yummy Briyani comes out. Nevertheless briyani tasted so good and awesome.

Bamboo Mutton Briyani if you haven’t tried, pls try here and you will love for sure. It tasted so good with right amount of masala and well cooked mutton.

Vegetable Jalfrezi and Chicken Tikka Masala tasted yum and delicious to go with 4 kinds of breads served.

Babu Nimbu Shrimp was mind blowing dish served fresh and hot with smoky flavor. Shrimp was huge and prepared in a different way.

Overall a great and beautiful experience. They also gave branches in Dubai and Ajman

Those who are thinking of going there to have food please read this.. Yesterday evening I was there with my family.. After sitting there 10 mints I had to call one waiter because no one was coming to take the order.. We ordered food he told 20 to 25 mints it will take i said ok get us water.. 15 mints passed no one gave us water.. In between 2 times I reminded to give water.. I was getting angry so I though lets take a walk and calm down.. Meanwhile I saw a table is vacant next to the sea side area so I thought sit here but the table was not cleaned I waited there few mints no one came to clean.. So I went and told the manager please clean the table and send the water there.. We were seating there for 10 mints but no one cleaned the table.. Finally food came.. But still the table was not cleaned.. The waiter was holding the food in both of his hand and waiting someone will come and clean but no one at the end my husband cleared the ussed tissues and use and throw spoon so that the guy can keep the food tray down.. By the mean time the manager the cheap Black suit wearing manager came and told you should not have changed the table without asking me.. I told I told you we r shifting to that table get the water there.. He told no you should have taken my permission before changing the table..we didn't argue with the manager because by the time we knew that he doesnt know manners.. We had our food which was already cold and our mood was already spoiled.. I never experienced such behaviour of managers in any of the restaurants.. I have tried there Abu Dhabi Hyudariyat and Khalifa city branch.. But that's the end will never go to any of their branch.. That cheap manager spoiled my family...

One of the new restaurants located at the new side of Khor Fakkan beach, Sharjah.

The restaurant attracts visitors with their unique decors, from the outside you’ll see colourful umbrellas on their bright yellow tables and wall painted inside. All details are very nice, even the waiters uniforms are interesting (check at the back of the staff uniforms). All of these are very nice and definitely made you excited.

However, as I mentioned “new”, be prepared to sit and wait for your food minimum 1 hour to get it served. We were quite patience as we already expect this would happen, but within one hour they only served our drinks (we only ordered sparkling water and mango juice). After waiting 15 minutes we asked for our food and mentioned “ready in few minutes”.. few minutes became another 15 minutes then what came only the naan bread. 15 minutes afterwards came our salad (more than an hour to serve a simple salad is just ridiculous). In the end we decided to cancel one of the meal as it just too tiring to wait (many people did left as well).

Food is not too bad, although the special salad a bit pricey for a salad with no proteins charged 49 dhs and the avocado was raw. Cheese Naan is recommended!
