Al Kabab Al Afghani Al Jadeed Restaurant — Restaurant in Sharjah

I discovered Al Kebab Al Afghani Al Jadeed Restaurant back in 2012, and I should say that this place remains in the top three Afghani restaurants that I know in Dubai/ Sharjah. The food has been not just good, but delicious and the meat, just amazing! Our usual favorites are "Chupan kebab", a grilled portion of Lamb chops and the gigantic special naan. Don't forget to try some dhal Palak or just dhal fry. Over the years they have updated their menu, and even have "Grilled Chicken wings" now. The ambience is very cozy, perfect for a couple to sit in privacy and have long chat, or for a group of friends to enjoy a great meal. The staff boys always have been very welcoming. I have had plenty of solid, even very good, Afghan food, but this place blew them all out of the water. Every little thing was done with care, from the tea to the yogurt sauce, to the rice. But of course the meats and bread stole the show. Look at this bread: it might be the most beautiful bread I’ve ever gotten in a restaurant, and it tastes as good as it looked. We got a strange mutton curry in a spinach marinade that was totally unlike any Indian or Pakistani curry. Not greasy and actually with a strong vegetal taste. I ordered the Mix BBQ with Afghani Pulao Rice and it was an excellent experience. The BBQ was tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor, with a delious in taste. The Afghani Pulao rice was aromatic and well-cooked complemented the BBQ beautifully. The portion size was generous, and the presentation made it even more appetizing.
