Codnor Fish Bar — Restaurant in Amber Valley

I have had quite a few deliveries from here now and frustratingly over 2/3 have either been wrong food arrived, missing items which have been paid for, food cold or extremely long delivery time! Everytime you call to state what's wrong that particular time you get fobbed off with a "sorry" or a "it will take over an hour" to rectify it!! which is No good when you've got hungry children who have already waited for 1 1/2 hrs for their food in the first place!! How hard is it to listen and write down what customers ask for or to read an order correctly?!?!.. Just ends up with me wasting money on things that can't even be eaten for one reason or another! Just had last takeaway from them as yet again its come wrong and is unable to be eaten!! Another waste of money. I don't get much money but always let the kids have a treat at weekends only to have to throw most of it away when order from here😤.. Won't be...

Just called in for pie chips and peas and a potatoe fritter and the food was awful. Thepie was fine, all they had to do was warm that up. The chips were like dried up twigs and bit of wood, obviously cooked at lunch, 4 hours later they were inedible, straight in the bin, tried the potatoe fritter - still raw in the middle and batter was rancid, cooking oil not changed for at least a month maybe longer. Straight in the bin, the peas served had to be scped off the side of the pan. AWFUL. Would i go there again..... never less than a mile away is leesbrook chippy, having chucked my food in the bin went there for fish and chips was it good lol itwas fabulous. On Saturday night on way home from watching the football I purchased kebab meat chips 2 large cod fish and peas. The cod fish was both inedible so dry and had bones in it that even the cat turned her nose up and would not eat it. Ended up throwing both large cod in the bin and making cheese on toast instead. If it had not been so cold outside and bad weather I would have taken it back for a refund. DONT BUY FISH FROM HERE THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO COOK IT/ KEEP IT WARM TOO LONG THAT IT DRIES OUT.
