Greggs — Restaurant in Amber Valley

The best about this bakery is the food and the staff, but there is a problem, and that's why I am only giving four stars. The problem is that the hot food is kept displayed in a glass hot cabinet, and if you are lucky enough to get there when your favourite pie, bake, or pizza is being taken out, then you are in luck and can have a hot and tasty food, but if you don't it will be sold just warm, or slightly warm. Now putting that aside, they also sell beautiful baguettes with many different toppings, and if you don't see your favourite topping on display, then just ask one of the members of the staff who will make you a fresh baguette right there and then. Excellent selection of doughnuts and other cakes, as well as soft drinks, coffee, tea, or chocolate. Did I mention they also sell pizzas? Yes they do, and they are nice too.

The young girl who served me was VERY polite and professional how ever the pizza was cold and steak baked was Luke warm but coffee was hot . I had to take pizza back and was asked if I would like a fresh one which I replied yes please unless you want to pop it in the microwave 🤣😂 at which another lady said she couldn’t do that then another guy shouted that’s illegal at which I said I know it is as I work in Catering and know the rules about reheating food. Stopped off for some lunch, the choice was good even though it was late lunchtime. The outside seating was not being cleaned between people using it, luckily enough we take wipes with us wherever we go. Food tasted good but sadly the age old presentation of everything hanging out of the front of the cob and not a lot in the back. I spent about 3 minutes trying to stuff it all in so I could eat it.
