I think my addiction with this brand of "fast food" is finally over. Over the last few years, McDonald's has gone from fast food to slow flood. It seems to take longer than any other fast food provider. Yesterday's trip was a case in point, I ordered via the app, announced my arrival on the app and proceeded to watch other customers come and go via the drive through. Even the Uber drivers were back and forth faster than the drive through I am sadly old enough to remember the mid nineties and two thousands and everything was served so much faster. I remember the racks of food ready to serve. We didn't have a local McDonald's I could drive to Derby, buy my meal and drive back within half an hour. Now I go to MC's and the round trip takes longer than that and the place is 4 miles away! Sadly while asking why it takes so long the staff member proceeded to tell me it was because they are busy, when questioned why the drive through was moving around 10 minutes quicker he just reiterated his mantra and couldn't grasp that I was asking why service isn't in order... I recently visited your store located in Somercotes, Alfreton on 07/07/2024 at 3:45 pm. I'm disappointed to report that I had to wait nearly 20 minutes to pick up my order, even though it was already ready.
When I approached one of the staff members to inquire about the delay, he responded in a rude manner, stating that he was busy and could not assist me. I then called the head office, but they were closed at the time.
Upon returning to the store, I requested the name of the staff member, but he refused to provide it, as he did not have a name badge. I also asked the manager on duty, but they too declined to share their name.
I expect a higher standard of customer service from a reputable establishment such as McDonald's. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to address my concerns is unacceptable.
