Bangers Natural Café — Restaurant in Arun

Nice food, we had veggie breakfasts and they were very good. Strange customer service. I wanted to swap avocado for an egg and it was £1 extra, but I'm still paying for the avocado?. The reason I was told was eggs are more expensive, even though we buy our eggs from the same supplier and they are 60p each (about the same as half an organic avocado).

Whilst I'm happy paying extra for extra items I'm not comfortable paying extra and having less. Left a bad taste so probably won't return. I found the ladys attitude a little aggressive when I questioned the extra charge.

While I appreciate that many reviews are positive there appears to be an ongoing theme of aggressive responses to reasonable questions.

On a positive note the coffee...

So this is a hard one one for me to review, firstly this is the first time here and it has to be said that the food we had for breakfast was great, top shelf, and the look of the place is very appealing ... But it leaves a sour taste when the lady at the till tells us very passive aggressively to hurry the hell up as there is a half hour wait for food. That's just not on, even if your time apparently would be better spent at the grill (which didn't happen even when we concluded our order and there were no more annoying customers demanding attention), give us the 30 seconds to decide if the wait would be amenable. There were only 4 tables at the time. On top of that, my coffee order...

I'll start off by saying that the food is amazing, if that were the only factor, I'd recommend...but the service really lets the side down. Started off with a rather snarky, unnecessary, comment by the lady taking the orders, the service didn't get any better after that. Waiting over 30 minutes for coffee is ridiculous. Our food arrived before the drinks, and missing a part of the order. The excuse? "We're very busy and have only 1 chef" (I counted 4 tables, in total, including us, and only 1 other didn't have food), so that excuse was rather thin. The restaurant in general has a lot of potential, especially with the quality of the food, but the service really needs...
