Birds Bakery in Sutton Lakeside — Restaurant in Ashfield

Lovely display and stock of foods both hot and cold. Was 4pm so was not expecting much to be left if honest but there were some hot snacks and some lovely cakes available.

Purchased 4 to 5 small tarts and a hot snack as well as hot beverages because there were a few bags of cakes and too much stuff on top of counter which I didn't want to mistakenly pick up I managed to leave 3 cakes behind which was the main reason I went there. Although the ones I did manage to pick up were very nice im abit miffed (fault on both sides) to have not taken all my order away. Lesson learnt to not be so cautious when trying to pick up...

Love to go here on a Thursday to get my hubby an elephants foot,haha which is a rather large cream bun made with choux pastry and it's got chocolate cream on the top.their cobs are absolutely lovely from tiny dinner buns to much larger for a filled one,they're tea cakes are massive and have lots of fruit in them,and don't get me started on the cheese scones they are divine,you can eat in here or take away ,this shop has not been open long ,but it's very popular the staff are very polite and the shop is always...

I have just been to the Birds bakery at Lakeside, which is next to Tesco Express, Nr B&Q in Mansfield. The staff, especially the young lady McKenzie, were all very attentive and did everything they could to assist us. Cutting all the fat off the bacon, re-making my cup of tea, because I wasn’t happy with it, generally doing everything they can to make us happy. We even decided to stay for cakes after!!! In today’s society this seems to be a rarity..
