Tara Spice — Restaurant in Ashfield

Absolutely love this restaurant for dinning in, it was cozy, and manager was the loveliest man, and was happy to chat and talk with us and full of information and knowledge that he was happy to share about the food and how they cook it.

We was a group of 4, 1 person with allergies but they was more than accommodating to our needs, the food was full of flavour and the best I have had in a long time! I can’t do too much spice, so went mild and it was everything it promised to be! If you like hot and spicy go with the hot stuff, but if you prefer full herb and flavour then go mild.

Food came out in great time and lovely and hot! We had starters, and main and was offered all the appetisers too.

No alcohol served here but restaurant had to make a choice between keeping the electricity and gas on or serve alcohol but I think it was a good choice they made as the food is so good you should not ruin it with alcohol anyway.

I really recommend you go in and eat there as the atmosphere is very nice but the staff are the true gem!

I give them a full 10/10 for food and service!

Absolute shambles. Went in for a meal, booked in plenty of advance waited an hour and a half for the main and then it was wrong. Bringing our Lamb instead of chicken etc. some dishes were cold. Two people on our table had to share a sizzler plate as they didn’t apparently have enough. People on the other side of the restaurant smoking vape and nothing was said until we told them. Waiting for the main it was a “5 minutes” “5 more minutes” which lead to an hour and a half. Someone on our party opened his cloth napkin and there was a soft chewing gum in it! Best thing about it is even after all Of this the person in charge didn’t knock anything off the bill and said “I’m short staffed” in which I added that that is not our fault, and we shouldn’t have to be treated poorly because of that. None delivery for 2.5hrs so I called up. They had misplaced our order but found on computer and said "We be there 20 mins". 30 mins later food arrived cold and wrong items. Foodhub policy says call the takeaway for wrong delivery / refund so i did. Rude man on phone says acknowledges sent wrong item but "will not give refund... you get from foodhub" I send right food.. "No" I said "That's going to be over 4hrs now... I want refund for items I've ordered and you have not delivered". Guy shouts "NO!.. From foodhub" and puts phone down. So no refund or way to raise complaint on FOODHUB. (robotic chat function loops back to "contact takeaway direct".) Shop never did bring the correct food and refuses to discuss refund. I Will not be coming back here I am afraid. Future customers should be prepared for cold food and wrong orders...
