A superior quality restaurant. With a taste that is to die for . Bangladesh curry is the most rounded curry and the cuisine I look for when I want a curry . The staff are friendly if slightly shy . The restaurant is spotless clean and decorated tastefully. Its been my favourite meal in my trip to UK after 4 years I felt like crying with joy at the taste I missed the most . Thank you ... Ps back from Spain on Holiday again and the standards here have increased 🤯 they listen to feed back and act on it to get better . The child's meal was the weak point but now it is good , the chicken was moist and tasty. This place definitely deserves an award. The Biryani was authentic including a sealed crust which was served intact and on top like it would be originally. My lamb was to die for . Everything on the Table was delicious. See you next year. I miss the curry already 😭

This restaurant has reopened after being closed, for a number of years, by the same family. Importantly, the food is good. It's decent Bangladeshi cuisine and service is good also. It's worth noting that they don't currently serve alcohol, although you can bring your own and they charge corkage. As they've only just reopened and it's all quite new, I suspect they'll refine what they do and offer.

Had the best meal ever here tonight. Same meal as before, chef on his game & just tasted excellent. Khan waiter, some wouldn't like his style, but he is a breath of fresh air for the Joshan. Nice to see the owner/proprietor also. Relaxed n professional as always.

The food was overcooked flavourless but the real issue was the service—and more specifically, the manager. To say he was unprofessional would be an understatement. From the moment he approached our table, he seemed... off. His energy was strange, and I couldn’t help but notice he was acting a little jittery, like he was on something. After observing his erratic behavior, I started to wonder if there was more going on than just a bad mood. Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there. He began making very inappropriate comments toward my girlfriend, crossing the line from friendly small talk into overt flirting. She tried to laugh it off, but it was clear she was uncomfortable. He was leaning in too close, asking overly personal questions, and making comments that felt more like he was trying to impress her rather than providing any kind of professional service. It was honestly unnerving to watch, and she was visibly trying to keep her distance. I don’t know what was going on behind the scenes, but his actions definitely raised some red flags. His behavior went from strange to uncomfortable to borderline creepy. This is not what you expect when you go out for a nice dinner. We were both ready to leave as soon as we could. The food was disappointing, the service was shockingly bad, and the manager’s inappropriate flirting made the entire experience feel unsafe. I won’t be coming back to [Restaurant Name], and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values both a good meal and respectful service. There's no excuse for behavior like this, and I hope they address it before it ruins their...

Booked a meal here as had heard good things and had never visited before. Table booked for 7.30 so we turned up about quarter past and was shown to our table.

Sat down and looked at menus, ordered drinks while we decided. Drinks took maybe 20/25 minutes to arrive and finally ordered food when they arrived. Then we waited, other tables starters arrived, then their mains, they paid and left and we are still sat there. I got up to find out what was going on and the restaurant was packed with close to 15 people standing there waiting for takeaways. Stood there waiting for a staff member for a few minutes and a very stressed waiter appeared who said he would check for me. 20 minutes later he appears and said not long.

Food finally arrived around 9.20/9.30 ish and wasn't cooked properly. Bombay potatoes were part raw and cold. Chicken from my curry was cold, chicken on my other halves curry was cooked to death, dry and chewy. Her rice was stone cold too.

At this we got up and put our coats on to leave. I was prepared to pay for the drinks and that was it. The owner appeared and offered to heat our food up for us, a microwave curry I can get from tesco. He kindly didn't charge us for anything so that is what the 1 star counts for.

The excuse was they were busy, but not busy enough to turn away a few takeaway orders which they clearly were prioritising.

My review of Burger King is next as that's where our dinner came from at 10pm. I had high hope for our Joshan meal....

We have been here before and it was amazing, not sure if its under new management as didnt recognise any of the staff. Visited on Friday Evening, was seated in a small, cosy space with just 2 tables of 4. Service was absolutely awful. We got there at 7pm, got our food at 8.40pm, no apologies and just kept saying they were busy - there were empty tables. The table next to us got their food before us even tho they came in after us, they did tell the waiters but were ignored, it was so awkward for them but we managed to laugh about it. Their food was also an hour wait and the staff kept hovering taking plates when they were done and rushing them through their meal. When we did get the food, it wasn't hot (not cold either), Sag Aloo was just basically potatoes, no spinach and the table next to us had the opposite (lots of spinach, no potatoes), Tikka Masala was more like a korma, other Curry's were tasty but I was past hungry by this point. Again, staff were hovering whilst we were eating to clear plates. When the restaurant called to confirm the table, I was told 10% off the Friday but they argued that it was cash only and had the cheek to put a £15 service charge on (we didn't pay it). There was a young lad who was very polite and looked slightly embarrassed but the rest of the staff were just rude and when we asked a question they basically didn't respond with anything else other than very busy. So disappointing, we were really looking forward to it but we won't...
