Absolutely amazing food - prepared fresh. Mindfully sourced produce. Scones and English breakfast tea are out of this world! We will most definitely be going back. Super quaint building, family friendly. Staff are a delight. We've back time and time again, and the service and food are always to the highest and most incredible quality. Scones and cakes are made fresh on site by one of the owners - the wife, and the other owner - the husband, who is normally serving, has incredible knowledge on the history of the building- which is just incredible, fascinating and so humble. It is mine, and my partner's go to tearoom within the canterbury area. Thank you to the owners and the staff for creating such a wonderful, cosy, and inviting tearoom. You are all a treasure to the hospitality industry. We look forward to our next...

Nothing short of gluten free heaven! THE most delicious gluten free scones I’ve ever tasted! Served warm - one plain with clotted cream, butter and strawberry preserve - the other, cheese served warm with cold butter - totally fabulous! The scones are a generous size so much so that my friend couldn’t eat both of her fruit scones sunny had to help. Lovely gentleman serving, great sense of humour and very attentive. Tea with ‘bag outside of pot’ was hot and just finished our afternoon tea off perfectly. Very reasonable price too - the cakes looked delicious but we had no room left! I’m told they do gf sandwiches too -...

We happened by Chilham quite accidentally. How very fortunate for us. This delightful wee tea house, one of 2 cottages, is so filled with warm inviting vibes. Barry is a fabulous ambassador with quick wit and informative yarns to spin. We had the 2 scone, clotted cream and jam option, and a pot of tea. Delicious! Homemade scones filled with fruit, melt in ya mouth clotted cream.....mmmm, spectacular! Also, these tea rooms and some of this areas' frontage has appeared in period dramas. Fancy!! Thank you, Barry, and your amazing staff. You certainly made our wedding anniversary...

Excellent cake!🍰 A lovely place to visit after going around Chilham Castle gardens, which has no tea room. The Church Mouse is very cosy, with tables squeezed into two small rooms, plus tables outside in the sun. Staff are very friendly and the service was quick. Not sure if there are customer toilets as we didn't need to use any and the public car park has some and it's very nearby. Would give this place 5 stars had I tried more of the menu, but as we just popped in for the essentials, cake and a drink, we didn't get the full picture. I would definitely go back if I was in the area again
